A few times now I've tried to buy Huckberry clothes as a "nicer" alternative to levi's or carhartt, but both have failed to impress. Despite a claimed athletic fit, these were extremely tight in the thighs and calves. Not very much stretch. Levi 541 continues to be the best athletic cut for me. Read more
First, from a pure quality standpoint, these are a premium pair of pants. The fabric feels great. The seams and stitching are all top notch. The pockets are well designed, deep and comfortable. The interior feels amazing. The liner is soft and comfortable, without feeling cloying or "too soft". In truth, if all my casual slacks were made as were these, by way of material and manufacture, I don't think I could be more well pleased. Two caveats I do have on these, however, and this may be a bit particular to me, are as follows. First, the size seems larger than expected. I even ordered a size down from my norm, being as I typically am as a man with a 35" waist, always between 34" and 36"... Well, the 34" is pretty roomy on me, and that's almost an understatement. Even when pulled in tight, they are gathering and bunching in the front a bit. So, if between sizes, I suggest definitely lean toward the smaller of the two. The second is a larger issue for me, and it has to do with the fit, the taper. I am a fairly athletic male, working out quite a bit, so chose that option. Without being able to compare directly to the slim fit, which may ultimately have been the better choice for me, the shape of these pants is a bit odd. The first sense I got when I put these on is that they were designed for an Oompa Loompa, from Charlie and the chocolate factory. The poke out on the sides below the hips. Strangely. I don't understand why this is the case. The only thing I can consider is that, when they say "athletic" they mean "muscle builder". I mean, those fellows who spend 3 hours a week just on their thighs, alone. For then I can imagine I would actually fill out that extra room in the mid-leg, and the rest would probably fall in line. Again, perhaps slim fit was and would have been better for me. So, I relate that here, that if you are curious as to how you want these pants tailored, unless you have some powerful quads, go with the slim fit. I think you'll appreciate that choice, more. All in all, these really are a great pair of pants, just hope you get the size that best suits you. Read more

I love love love these pants! Perfect for work or casual, so comfortable and tough. My only complaint is that the buttons keep breaking. I have 5 pairs now and three of the front buttons have broken, and the replacements sewn into the pants crack and split as well. They need a better button material. Otherwise you can’t go wrong!! Way more slim than expected. The material is thick and it does stretch just enough for comfort, but I got the athletic taper and they feel very tight around the knee & calf area. These are basically just slim fit pants with a slightly wider upper thigh area. I was hoping they would taper to the ankle, not the knee. Too tight for me, and I'm a pretty slim guy, 165lb at 5'11" Also the pockets lay flat when standing still, but buldge out oddly when moving around, making it look like the pants are too tight around the waist even when they aren't. A hidden magnetic pocket closure would be great to solve this. Read more
The material is nice and construction seems quality. However, I’ve purchased several pair in recent weeks and all have buttons that crumbled within the first washings. Clearly a quality control issue with buttons. But know if you buy, you might be replacing buttons sooner than you think, back pocket and fly buttons. Washed and dried on only warm water and low heat.
