If you're familiar with Hudson, you know it's a pretty trim cut, and this is no exception (despite looking a bit loose in the photos - I suspect the model is wearing a larger size than she normally would). Hourglass shapes will need to size up, maybe 2 sizes - but will be able to tighten the waist a bit, so at least there's that. The legs are VERY long, but again with the brand that's fairly normal - though these will be a bear to hem without having them look funny. The color is as pictured, and the quality is excellent. Is it $245 worth of excellent? Of course not. You can have the same quality without hitting 3 digits if you shop wisely. The extra is for the label, but of course you already knew that. If you like Hudson and don't mind paying the upcharge for the brand, you'll be perfectly happy with these. Read more

I got these for my teen daughter, who was in desperate need of a new pair of jeans. I got her a 24, and they fit as expected. These are unbelievably soft - I've never felt denim that was this soft and comfortable before. I guess you do get what you pay for, at least partly. These jeans have a unique look that I really like. The tie at the waist and trouser cut is classy in person; I was worried from the listing photos that it might look a little too 70s. I sized up one size to ensure that they hung straight from the high waist, and they fit me well with a bit of extra wiggle room. Thanks to being a tencel blend, the fabric is super soft. My only complaint is that the legs are several inches too long on me, and I’ll have to have them altered. (I normally wear petite sizes, so a little extra length is to be expected, but these are extra long.) Still, alterations are no big deal, and overall these are lovely. Read more
