My favorite part of this polish is that the color (The Berries) is so beautiful! It's really pretty and is it doesn't take multiple coats to build that color. That being said, it takes multiple coats because it can be streaky. After 2 coats, I got better coverage. It smells like a regular nail polish, but maybe not quite as strong. While the color is fabulous, it doesn't have a "brilliant shine" as it says, but still a nice, subtle shine. The second best part about this polish is the jar. It's so pretty and really looks fancy with the decanter top. I also found it easy to grip. On the downside, there is a lot of glass and not a lot of polish - only .4oz. That isn't actually much less than typical bottles but appears so with the amount of glass at the bottom. This polish goes on really nicely and the shade Avec Plaisir is rich and flattering without needing a bunch of layers. The formula feels smooth and spreads evenly, so you do not end up with streaks or patchy spots. It has a glossy finish that looks almost gel like once it fully dries. It lasts longer than I expected for a clean, vegan polish. I did not see major chipping for several days, even with regular hand washing and typing. It also dries at a reasonable speed, not instantly but fast enough that you are not sitting still for ages. The smell is lighter than traditional nail polishes, which makes the whole application feel less harsh. The bottle feels sturdy and the brush fans out well, so it is easy to use and get clean edges and an even coat. really like the ingredient list for this nail polish and feel good using it knowing it is vegan and cruelty free. The formula applies smoothly and the color looks great at first with a nice shine. I also appreciate that it avoids a lot of the harsher ingredients found in other polishes. One issue I ran into is that it chips pretty easily, even with careful wear, which was disappointing. Another small annoyance is that the white cap piece comes off, and when you try to open the bottle it just twists instead of opening, so you have to remove it first. Bottle is super cute and I like that the plastic topper is removeable for a comfortable nail painting experience. The paint is a nice even smooth, clump free consistency and easy to apply, however, even with numerous coats it is still quite streaky even after drying. It dried within minutes, the color is fantastic and true to the bottle/wet paint color, "Kiss and Tell" is a sublte, muted pink. Love the color just wish it self leveled to prevent streaking. Unlike a lot of vegan or “15-free” nail polishes I’ve tried, this one actually delivers on color payoff. The formula is thick, which means one coat already gives strong coverage and two coats look like a salon job. It’s also relatively streakless compared to competitors; definitely better than The Botanist, which left my nails a dull, streaky mess. That said, you have to move fast with this. It dries so quickly that one side of your nail will start getting tacky while you’re still painting the other, so don’t expect to do two clean passes unless you’re lightning fast. The upside is that both hands were done in under ten minutes, and I’m not exactly skilled at DIY manicures. It dries down a bit matte, which is common with vegan polishes, and the brand recommends their own topcoat. I didn’t have it on hand, so I used an Essie topcoat and got a durable, glossy finish that lasted about five days without dulling. Even without topcoat, two coats had a decent shine, more than I expected. The biggest downside was removal. For whatever reason (probably because the formula is so dense) it really stained my cuticles, and I had to really go at it with acetone to get everything off. Kind of ironic for a “clean” polish. Next time I’ll definitely use a base coat to protect against that. Overall, though, this is one of the better vegan polishes I’ve tried: bold color, quick drying, long-lasting. However: • Price feels steep — for a single bottle, I expected a bit more performance given the cost. • Chipping happened sooner than I hoped. Even with what I considered light, normal wear, I noticed the polish started to chip faster than what I’d expect at this price point. For a “chip-resistant” polish, that was disappointing. Summary: This polish delivers the clean-beauty, glossy-finish vibe and the premium bottle makes it feel deluxe. But between the price and the faster-than-expected chipping, it lands just below “excellent” — good if you want a nice, ethical polish that feels premium, but not ideal if you want longwear without frequent touch-ups.
