We have tried other name brand diapers over the years and people rave about other brands, but our experience with other brands is not good. Even the hospital doesn't use this brand and baby's onesie kept getting wet. They were folding their Pampers down at top for umbilical cord where Huggies have cut out for umbilical cord. Our personal experience is other name brand diapers seem to leak with our babies, and these stay snug and keep clothes and baby dry. When it says 100% leak proof and all-around blowout blocker it's factual for us and our babies. They are easy to use and durable. We have babies with sensitive skin and there is no irritation with these diapers. Read more

I hope this helps all the momma’s out there make an educated decision on their babies well-being :) Prices on all of these diapers (size 3s are what’s shown in pictures) tends to fluctuate but in general the most expensive to least expensive is as follows: Huggies Snugglers, Amazon Mama Bear, Pampers Swaddlers, Huggies Little Movers, Natural Eden & Earth, Huggies Snug and Dry. *All have wet strip indicators. *Rated all these out of 6 without duplicating a rating. *All diapers were tested for at least 3 weeks at a time and I did size up if they got a bit too snug so fit was ideal for a comparison. *Reviewed in picture order sequence Comparison was given on the following categories: overall outside material, inside material, back pocket/elastic back, added fragrance, design, straps durability, #2s, overnights, and lastly additional issues (if applicable) ~~HUGGIES LITTLE SNUGGLERS~~ -Thickest of all the diapers I tested -Inside material is soft to the touch and durable feeling -Extra strong elastic back layer “pocket” to catch #2s so they don’t ride up back -Has additional side purple internal straps for extra durability for movement (note: these are not on the N-2 size diapers, only starting at size 3) -Didn’t have any fragrance added to diaper which I liked, less chemicals -Cute design, classic clean look, Winnie the Pooh -Straps are soft material and attach to diaper nicely throughout entire length of strap -Contains #2 waste awesome -Hold great overnight 8-10 hours (multiple #1s, haven’t had #2 to test yet) ***Personal rating out of 6 would be 6/6*** ~~AMAZON MAMA BEAR “Premium”~~ -Near identical to Snugglers with a few variations -Thick material overall -Inside material is soft to the touch (softer than Snugglers) and durable feeling -Medium strength back elastic (doesn’t have the “pocket” design) to catch #2s so they don’t ride up -Didn’t have any fragrance added to diaper which I liked, less chemicals -Cute design, soft blue bear design (they have plain white option too but I haven’t tested those) -Straps are soft material and attach to diaper nicely throughout entire length of strap -Contains #2 waste great -Holds well overnight 8-10 hours (multiple #1s, haven’t had #2 to test yet) -Occasionally leaves tiny gel balls, doesn’t seem to affect my daughter though in terms of any irritation ***Personal rating out of 6 would be 5/6*** ~~EDEN & EARTH “Natural” Diapers~~ -Medium thick overall material -Inside material is soft (super soft, think Viva paper towels soft) to the touch but not as durable feeling like first two. Great diaper if your baby has diaper rash and closest to cloth diaper amongst most disposables -Doesn’t have back pocket or but does have medium strength elastic and seems to contain #2s as long as there isn’t a lot or they aren’t too runny -Didn’t have any fragrance added to diaper which I liked, less chemicals -Plain simple design -Straps are soft material and attach to diaper nicely throughout entire length of strap -Has additional side internal straps for extra durability for movement -Doesn’t contain #2 the best if I forget to check for, say, an hour. You can see the brown color start to show through the diaper material, no official leaks though -Doesn’t hold multiple #1s as well overnight (no leaks though) just feels “damp” - it’s possible it’s just the gel absorbent that just feels cool to the touch ***Personal rating out of 6 would be 3/6*** ~~HUGGIES LITTLE MOVERS~~ -Overall medium thick material -Inside material is soft to touch (near identical as Snugglers) and more on the durable feeling side like the Snugglers/Mama Bear -Strong back elastic (doesn’t have the “pocket” design) to catch #2s so they don’t ride up -Didn’t have any fragrance added to diaper which I liked, less chemicals -Mickey and Minnie Mouse design -Straps are soft material and attach to diaper nicely throughout entire length of strap -Has additional side purple internal straps for extra durability for movement (diaper is made for size 3 and up, not a smaller size in this version) -Contains #2 waste great like Snugglers/Mama Bear -Holds well overnight 8-10 hours (multiple #1s, haven’t had #2 to test yet) ***Personal rating out of 6 would be 4/6*** ~~HUGGIES SNUG AND DRY~~ -Surprisingly on the thinner side overall (even though name has “dry” in it, I just imagined them being much thicker) -Inside material is soft (similar to Edens natural which was nice) to the touch yet feels durable enough -Medium strength back elastic (doesn’t have the “pocket” design) to catch #2s so they don’t ride up -Straps are soft material and attach to diaper nicely throughout entire length of strap -Didn’t have any fragrance added to diaper which I liked, less chemicals -Mickey mouse design. Probably useless observation but it has a loud crunchy sound when working with the diaper -Seemingly holds #1s and #2s ok but not as great as the rest. Still gets the job done just fine though. -Doesn’t hold as well overnight, but no leaks officially. Feels “damp” after #1 sits for maybe longer than an hour. It’s possible it’s just the gel absorbent that just feels cool to the touch. -Ran the smallest in terms of overall fit, maybe that’s why it’s called “snug” and dry? ***Personal rating out of 6 would be 2/6*** ~~PAMPERS SWADDLERS~~ -Size N through 2 seems to be a thinner material than size 3 through 4 from my testings. The thin versions are similar to Huggies snug and dry and the thicker versions are similar to Mama Bear -Inside material is very soft but was more of a mesh type of material verse thicker cloth type. After diaper changes it looked like the layers separated easily but still contained the waste just fine from what I could tell. -No back elastic or pocket at all to contain #2s. I have had to clean upper back messes with these diapers, I’d say at least one #2 a day for two weeks straight of upper back clean ups with my daughter -Had a baby powder smell to them, which indicates an added fragrance -Elmo design -Straps are a harder plastic type of material that I would think is uncomfortable if it grazed my daughters tummy. Also, the portion of the strap that sticks to the diaper is probably only 1/3rd of the actual strap so I had “loose” straps that easily came undone when getting my daughter dressed if her clothes snagged onto the non-sticky part of the straps. -Doesn’t contain #2s very well in my opinion, multiple leaks mainly in my daughters upper back -Holds up decent overnight 6-8 hours due to overall diaper thickness for multiple #1s (haven’t had to test #2s yet) -Occasionally leaves tiny gel balls, doesn’t seem to affect my daughter though in terms of any irritation -Ran the largest in terms of overall fit ***Personal rating out of 6 would be 1/6*** Read more

As a new dad, I did a lot of research before choosing diapers for our newborn baby boy, and so far Huggies Little Snugglers have been a great choice. They fit well, feel very soft, and seem comfortable on his skin, which was one of my biggest concerns. So far, they’ve done their job well with no leaks, and the absorbency has been reliable both during the day and overnight.
