I bought these shorts for a cruise vacation and well all I can say is I should have left all my other shorts at home. These were perfect for shore excursions the pockets all have zippers and they kept my money, sea pass and passport secure and close by. I will be buying more for my next cruise. These shorts are built well; material is thin lightweight and more airy than other shorts that claim to be. I am satisfied with this purchase. It’s been so terribly hot & humid this summer that yardwork is the last thing you want to do but have to. I needed airy shorts, w/thin material that had flex to them for stopping & bending & mowing. This pair worked. The zippered pockets were roomy & enabled me to carry a bandanna for wiping my face and not having to carry it. I didn’t lose it thanks to zippered pockets. Eventhough I was sweating from the heat, the shorts didn’t make me hotter or sweat more as others have. The material is quick drying & comfortable. I plan on ordering another pair. I do the yardwork year round & usually wear cotton shorts but you can see the sweat & feel it in cotton shorts but these shorts seemed to dry as the air hit them. Great shorts in my opinion. Finally the perfect shorts! The hunt is over! & I have been hunting! Finally these are perfect! Lightweight! Elastic waist ! Flexible and comfortable to wear! Perfect length and can roll up bottoms to make shorter which I do! The colors are fantastic too! After I bought the first one I immediately came back and bought a slew more in different colors. I absolutely love these hiking shorts! The quick-dry fabric is soft yet durable, and it really holds up during long hikes or active days outdoors. The water-resistant finish actually works—I splashed through a few puddles and they dried in minutes. The fit is fantastic: true to size, with a comfortable waistband and a bit of stretch for ease of movement. I especially appreciate the deep zipper pockets—perfect for storing a phone, wallet, or keys without worrying about anything falling out. There are a LOT of pockets - sometimes I would lose track of what was in each pocket. Also if running around with stuff in your pockets use the drawstring otherwise you might lose your shorts! Ha. They’re versatile too! I’ve worn them hiking, running around and even traveling—they pack easily and don’t wrinkle. After a few washes, they still look brand new. Edit: just got the dark khaki and light gray in a larger size (medication weight gain - ugh). Still love these shorts for travel. XL fits like a relaxed size 14. The previous two pairs have held up well. The zippered pockets are really handy, though the back pockets are better for flat things, not a phone or wallet. Upping to 5 stars for the durability and easy wear. I like the material and pockets. They are water-resistant but so far breathe enough on a hot day for comfort. Casual, loose style and long enough for international travel where shorter lengths aren't really acceptable. I did find the crotch length to be a tiny bit shorter than I'd be really happy with (took off one star for that). I ordered the L size. I'm 5'6", 145 lbs - work out and run regularly. Average shape. I think these are more flattering if you don't expect them to fit tightly. Possibly size up if you are curvy on the bottom? I'm happy with them so far (1 day's wear only). The shorts are indeed a wrinkly mess when they arrive. They've obviously been sitting in a tight bag for a while. I washed them first (cool water, drip dry or air dry in dryer). If you take a few minutes to iron them carefully after this first wash - steam function (polyester setting) - the wrinkles do come out. I have other pants in this material and the wrinkles don't come back after the initial wash and iron. I don't expect perfect no-wrinkle fabric from this style. I like them well enough that I'm going to order a couple more in different colors. Read more
