Though expensive, this juicer is a great product because it works so well extracting the maximum juice out of the vegetables and fruits. It's not noisy and easy to clean despite it's a little complicated to assemble and disassemble. We use it every day now. Read more

This unit is quiet, attractive, so safe to use, so easy to clean. It took a few uses before I became completely familiar with how the pieces fit together, but now I'm set. This is a "masticating juicer" as opposed to a centrifugal juicer. I had to google the differences. My old juicer relied on centrifugal force to pull out the juice. It was pretty messy--clean up included that entire corner of the kitchen--and the pulp it left behind was still pretty wet and full of unextracted juice. The Hurom keeps its mess to itself quite nicely. The extraction basket is large, the collection beaker is easy to pour into a larger pitcher (I make large quantities of juice), and the unit comes with two extraction filters, depending on how pulpy you like your juice. And it's so quiet! I like that. You can also purchase a filter that lets you make ice cream. I like that because I can control the amount of sugar. Read more

I purchased a Hurom H-AA Slow Juicer, Matte Black, for $439 in mid-July. It worked beautifully in the first few weeks. This juicer was an upgrade: I had previously purchased a smaller Hurom, which I then passed on to a family member upon upgrade. After a few weeks, the Hurom began making groaning or high-pitched noises when I put in pieces of harder produce, although it never had before. Then, the juicing element began sticking to the motor base, so that it was ridiculously hard to lift it off. This has gotten progressively worse, with no change in my juicing technique. Amazon recommended I call Hurom to see about replacement. The Hurom rep who answered the phone was astonishingly oppositional, belittling, and rude. I was completely amazed. No looking up my customer profile, no attempt to learn my name, just first telling me that this could only happen because I was doing something wrong. And she said it with a tone of superiority and disdain that was... completely unexpected. When my answers showed I was using it correctly, she said things like "Go try it again." They would certainly not replace it, she said, because no parts were damaged, and this is not a known defect. When I expressed my astonishment that they would treat a customer who had spent over $700 in half a year on Hurom juicers this way, she said, well, I could send it in to their inspection team, but she did not suggest in any way that this would be worth my while. "Have Amazon replace it," she said. No attempt to outline the conditions of their warranty--is there even a warranty, I now wonder?? I've had much better service from even the most notoriously un service-minded industries. The only parallel I can think of for this Hurom representative's attitude would be the attitude of a health care insurance rep when you contest a charge. Never again Hurom, for this polite and generally agreeable customer. I am switching to another brand, but what a disappointing experience. Read more

I purchased my Hurom to strictly make celery juice. Celery can be hard on a juicer. A few months into using the machine daily, I began experiencing some difficulty with the 2 silicone brushes falling out easily. I feared losing them down the disposal when cleaning the parts. Customer Service said there was nothing they could do about this and if I felt that I needed a replacement, even though it was relatively new, I would have to order them. I did order them but when I received them there was a slight difference and the new ones do not stay on at all! Their is a slight difference in the shape of them. I wrote a review based on this because I did not want to deal with customer service again. Recently, I received an email from a Customer Experience Manager, Cole, who was interested in the problem that I experienced. He actually listened and immediately refunded the charges for my silicone parts and promptly sent me a new basket with the silicone parts! Cole stepped up and made me feel like a valued customer. I am so pleased by his response that my faith has been restored in the customer service department of this company. I can now get back to juicing ! By the way, this machine makes excellent celery juice and has a beautiful sleek design that looks great out on my counter for daily usage. Thank-you Hurom for making me smile again! Read more

Unit worked for 2 months, but recently I'm seeing sporadic issues. if this is user error (will know in about a month), I will update review to 4-5 starts, because the unit works nice when it is working. There is some kind of sensor that makes the unit work when the assembly is placed onto the main body. As far as effort involved, you have to somewhat prep the fruit and veggies. Putting large chunks of carrot? I would not. I chop harder fruits/veggies into half inch thin and 2 inch long slices, while softer fruit/veggies can be double that. Takes 15 min. Juicing takes about 5-10 min. Fun, just drop the pieces in, not too many at the time, allow the corkscrew to squeeze them. Cleaning can be more thorough, although I am content to mostly rinse. Most of the items can be rinsed pretty easy, but strainer will take some brushing each time, and assembly housing needs a longer rinse (don't forget to open the pulp outlet). All in all, another 15 min. Total time: 35-40min, but you can prepare 2-3 days worth and put in the fridge. Read more
