★★★★★

High quality. Outstanding value. Exceeds expectations!

J. M.December 25, 2022

So far, I'm incredibly impressed with the quality and performance of this scooter. Especially considering the price. It far outperforms similar, often more expensive offerings from other manufacturers. If RANGE is important to you, and you're on a budget, you're going to be blown away by this scooter. Having owned 7 scooters from most major manufacturers, I think I have a rather good knowledge base for comparison. Here are some major advantages to consider: This scooter basically has the same frame design as the Ninebot Max G30, one of the most popular scooters ever made. Therefore, replacement parts and compatible accessories will be quite easy to find. Fenders, handle grips, throttles, deck pads, mirrors, you name it. If it's made for the Max G30, it'll probably fit this scooter too. The frame design is straight forward and simple. Unlike some other scooters you won't have to worry about heavy or clunky shocks or a constant need to tighten dozens of bolts. Sometimes those "extras" on other scooters end up being extra weight, extra maintenance, and extra hassles. Considering that this scooter only weighs 35lbs, the 36v 15ah battery is an amazing powerhouse. As far as top speed, 19mph on this scooter feels VERY fast. This is the only scooter I've ever used that actually came close to matching the manufacturer claims regarding range. In this case, an impressive 29 miles (against the claim of 31). I'm about 160lbs and I travel mostly on flat terrain in good weather conditions. This scooter delivered the BEST range results of any budget scooter I've ever used. The only complaints I have: (1) The headlight isn't bright enough for real world nighttime usage on city streets. You'll need to add an external, rechargeable light (which you can easily find for about $8-$18). (2) Water resistance (IPX4) could be better. The instructions state to not ride in the rain. Keep that in mind if you require a scooter for all-weather conditions. I'm guessing you could ride in a light drizzle, but you wouldn't want to ride through massive puddles or in a huge downpour. (3) The scooter "takes off" a bit slowly, but it does promptly and quickly increase to the max (19mph). I'm not certain if there's an adjustment in the app for different levels of acceleration. I'll edit my review if I find out. This isn't a major complaint, just an observation and suggestion for an added setting. (4) It would be nice to know if the inner tubes come pre-filled with anti-flat fluid (SLIME). It's a very important ingredient to help fight flat tires. I've got an email into the manufacturer to see if I can find out. I'll update my review if I do. Comparisons to other brands: In my opinion there isn't a single GoTrax or HiBoy model in this price range that compares favorably. There are budget scooters from Ninebot, but most lack a decent top speed or good range. You'll need to pay $600+ to get something comparable to the Hurtle / Hures36. The Evercross H5 is a popular choice, with a more powerful motor and higher top speed. However, it's much heavier, has lots of bolts to maintain, costs more, and loses to the Hures36 when comparing real world range. My honest advice: If you're considering a GoTrax, HiBoy, Wheelspeed, or even a Ninebot in this price range ($399), and RANGE is your number one priority, the Hurtle Expedition (hures36) is your best choice. Tips: If your folding mechanism doesn't lock tightly, partially fold down the stem and grab the center bolt with your fingers and turn it SLIGHTLY counter clockwise. The next time you close the latch it should be much sturdier. If that doesn't help, search YouTube videos for tightening the Ninebot Max folding mechanism. This scooter uses pneumatic inner tube based 10" tires (size of tubes are 10x2 with straight valve stem). You can usually find a pack of two replacement tubes for about $10-15 online. When the time comes to change the tube on the back wheel, you'll want to watch YouTube videos for the Ninebot Max, in order to see how to get the wheel detached from the scooter body (which involves taking the bottom deck plate off the scooter, and disconnecting the motor wires). Although, you might actually be able to repair the inner tube without actually fully removing the wheel. Search YouTube and discussion forums for help if needed. It's the same process as the Ninebot Max, with the only difference being that the Max uses tubeless tires. Be careful when braking. Learn to slightly crouch and lean back when applying the brakes at high speed. Final thoughts: This is a well made professional commuter scooter. It's an outstanding product. I also can't imagine a better entry level / first scooter for a serious rider. Read more

Great Adult Electric Scooter

Eco AllenAugust 29, 2022

Day 3. So far so good. This is actually a great product, very sturdy, very powerful on steep incline even at gear 1. Lights are not too bad, you can see well depending on your vision, but for me it’s enough. Suspension is great. Wheels are perfect. The pneumatic tires made a difference adding to smooth ride. App interface can be better but overall useful with no bells and whistles. App lock is super plus feature. Battery charging is on point and I like the beeping feature when it’s fully charge. I’m just not sure if it’s a smart charging where it protects the battery from overcharging, but I hope it is. It doesn’t say it in the manual anywhere. And btw, I think the manual needs to say more about the battery, and the motor. These are two most important things in this investment so I believe more information for the owner will be helpful. The bell horn, accelerator, breaks, tail lights, all are great and functioning well. Overall I would recommend this product to my colleagues needing an e-scooter. I just hope the company has a affordable battery replacement options just in case in the future the battery goes dead. Thanks Pyle for making a great product. I will definitely buy one again for my wife when it goes on sale again. This is a fair and honest review, and was completed with no extrinsic motivation. This is more than what is requested and I hope Pyle will keep their word with the free smart helmet. Read more

Worst purchase ever made

Tony mJanuary 18, 2025

Where do I begin when it comes to this absolutely horrifying, cheaply made, unreliable and worthless piece of junk. I got it a day early amd k was so excited to buy this scooter as it stated it is a stunt scooter so I expected a really sturdy and great quality piece of equipment. So I have used it 4 days so far to go to work which is about a mile and half from my house in the 4 days it's been used I had one issue where the handle bars came unmatched and caused the scooter tp Wipeout there fore breaking the little bell on the scooter then it snapped off the kick stand. Next day as I was about to head to work the clip that holds the scooter folded came off. So now can't even carry it in the folded position. Then today I notice the back tire making a weird noise but think it shouldn't be anything to worry about cause the scooterwas supposed to be equipped with nuemadic tires and as it turns out it's air filledè tires. I haven't had the scooter more than 9 days and actually used it on half of those days and this thing is falling apart so fast. This is my 5th scooter purchase. So I have some experience with scooters in general but this one has been an absolute nightmare and a huge waste of time money and effort. I would have rated it with no stars if there would have been the option to do so. Read more

Great value at $400... seems to be the best value in relation to battery range.

RonSeptember 21, 2022

This essentially has all the specs and features of the Ninebot Max G30 scooter. So far, I just ride it in "D" mode (13mph), regular busy surface streets/sidewalks/bike lanes/stop and go. I'm seeing 6 to 7 miles per 10% battery drop. So 12 - 14 miles in D mode for each battery segment, which falls in line with the specs written on this page from this seller (for once, right?). Very solid scooter. Easy to fold and pick up/carry. Much more convenient. I'm coming from a Zero 10X, but for my needs, this Hurtle Hures36 is nearly perfect, much less cumbersome, totally convenient to use/carry/random city commute rides, throw in the car, etc. I don't miss the speed and off road capabilities of the Zero 10x whatsoever for my current needs... and for $400 bucks, I can't beat the value that this smaller scooter brings on a day-to-day basis.
