Hydrocortisone With the Consistency of Vaseline
This hydrocortisone ointment is a nice option for things like bug bites that have been scratched open, or a rash that has already entered the weeping stage. I find that traditional hydrocortisone creams can often be a bit drying, and they sometimes sting during application to any bite or rash that is already opened up. This hydrocortisone ointment is the consistency of Vaseline, so it goes on easy and creates a nice protective layer. As far as effectiveness for itching, it seems to be the same as that of hydrocortisone cream. The only minor downside is that, like any ointment, it can stain things, so it helps to be aware of that. I like to keep this on hand in addition to the hydrocortisone cream from the same brand so I have both to use for different situations. Overall highly recommended. Read more
