Pros: This powder is more than just a collagen powder, it has probiotics and lots of other vitamins and minerals. So this could be a good all-in-one replacement if you are currently taking multiple supplements. The ingredients are really clean and you can feel it working. My skin looks better and I have more energy without the buzz that normally comes with caffeine. This also dissolves very easily in hot water with an electric frother. For the cost, it is a good product. Cons: This absolutely has a natural flavor. There's no added flavor, so I understand why this was called "unflavored" but you can taste the turmeric and mushrooms. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, but it does limit what you can mix it with. I added this to my coffee since I found it blends the best with hot water, but it takes away from the sweetness I prefer in my moring beverages. I think this would be best in something like bone broth, soup, or added to main dishes for a boost of nutrients. I want to try this in a dish with gochujang or curry. This is also fairly expensive. It's in line with the price of a lot of high quality collagen powders, but if you are looking for something more budget friendly you may want to consider another option. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Apologies in advance for the long review, I had a lot of thoughts about this supplement. I've been taking collagen supplements for a couple of years now for the benefits to my skin and joints, so I was expecting this collagen powder from Station South to help my skin stay bouncy and my knees stay un-crackly (which it has). What I was unsure about was all the other ingredients in there (especially the different types of mushrooms) but after testing this out for three weeks, I'm pleased to report that this has been an excellent addition to my workday routine. The best way to describe how this powder makes you feel after drinking it is "awake but chill." I can feel the energy boost from the caffeine, but the adaptogens (which include L-theanine along with the mushrooms) help to mellow it out while also helping me feel really focused. It also seems to help with my mood, surprisingly, keeping me feeling more stable and better able to manage the inevitable stress I experience at work. I've noticed myself responding to demands without getting as annoyed or angry, and I'm able to participate better in meetings. I didn't expect that this would be the effect but now that I've experienced it, I'd like to continue buying this powder because of how much it helps me at work. NOTE ON FLAVOR: This is an unflavored powder but because of the mushrooms and turmeric, it's got a very earthy flavor. It's pretty good mixed into my morning coffee and milk and drunk hot. However, the BEST and TASTIEST way I've tried it is mixed into a cup of hot broth. It boosts the umami flavor and tastes like a warm and savory little pick-me-up that makes my afternoons at work so much more pleasant. Seriously, don't sleep on mixing this into broth (bone broth would give it an extra protein boost but I've been using plain old chicken bouillon powder and it is lip-smacking good!). NOTE ON MIXING: I use an electric milk frother and the powder dissolves within less than 30 seconds in hot liquid. You can also use a whisk and run it back and forth between your hands. I think folks who are complaining about it staying clumpy are just using a spoon and you gotta put just a little bit more effort in than that. Read more

I ordered this Station South Collective Hydrolyzed Collagen Powder for Men & Women in Plan Jane (unflavored), hoping it would be an upgrade to my usual spoonful of collagen peptides in my morning coffee. As someone who has a non-celiac gluten sensitivity, I scoured the ingredients carefully before ordering, but when I received it, I noticed it said it contains wheat. I could not find an ingredient that showed wheat, so I inquired through the manufacturer's customer service email, and have not heard back many days later. I went on the assumption it was a "better safe than sorry" labeling for the celiacs and those with wheat allergies out there, that maybe there is shared equipment and the warning existed to identify that there "may" be the allergen wheat. I gave it a try with my morning coffee anyway, and what I discovered is that it tastes and smells strongly of cake batter and it does not mix well at all. The one scoopful dominated 20 ounces of coffee, basically creating a gritty sludge. It was unpleasant. I found this collagen powder unusable, wheat or not. I guess you could put it into a smoothie as a thickener? It's so weird and trying to be way more than it needs to. Read more

The powder seems well-formulated with lots of functional ingredients, and I like the idea of supporting skin, gut, and joint health. That said, one of the ingredients comes from shark, which honestly grosses me out and makes me question the ethics. Not sure I feel comfortable using it long-term. Read more
So I've been trying this out for well over a week now and so far so good. I've been taking collagen for years now in general so I will say you get a great amount for the price in comparison to the brand I normally go with. I always opted for the unflavored of anything because I like mixing mines in my coffee, smoothies and homemade soups and stews. I will say this actually does have a flavor to it, not strong but I wouldn't use it in my soups ans stews for fear of it throwing off the flavor. I will still use it in my drinks and its great. Will just a spoon it doesn't blend, but I either use my electric frother or blunder which helps it ti blend well. I love the ingredients and the amount per servings of some of my favorite herbs and vitamins. So far this is working great but I'll continue to monitor the results of my skin and hair to see if there is a difference from my previous brand. Read more
