I wasn’t looking for a nail cleaner, but when I saw this Finox Stainless Steel Nail Cleaner sold by Germanikure, it looked like a better alternative to the nail cleaners I have. I have orange sticks, curettes, and sharp manicure tools. They are so-so at cleaning under nails and they jab me. This Finox tool is as good as it looks. It's the perfect shape for cleaning under nails and all surfaces are smooth and rounded. It's effective and feels comfortable under my nails. The tool is 5 inches (12.5cm) long. The handle is brushed steel while the tip is polished steel. It comes with a leather case, which is pebbled in texture, charcoal grey with yellow stitching. It's a flexible case, not hard. The case is 4.5 inches (11.5cm) long. Made in Solingen, Germany, which is famous for its manufacturing of metal implements. I have manicure tools from Solingen that I purchased more than 20 years ago and they are still going strong. Read more

This is a high-quality instrument in a nice leather sleeve, and it does the job quite well. I only use it to clean my 3-year-old son's filthy fingernails from his daily time playing in the dirt, but I can attest to how well it works for that (I'm a nailbiter myself, so I don't actually have adult nails to try this thing out on). He never complains that I'm poking him or doing it too hard or anything, so it seems to be pretty gentle in spite of how well it cleans. In fact, since I started cleaning his fingernails with this, he sometimes notices his fingernails are dirty and tells me "Daddy, you have to use the new thing you got to clean my fingernails cuz they're dirty."
