Best value for your money. I absolutely love these, as soon as the sun goes down they instantly come on and burn just as bright in the morning when the first light comes up as when they first came on. I’ve had them for a couple of months so far and still the same thing. None of my other solar items come even close to the quality as these little lanterns. These would get ten stars in my book. The media could not be loaded. Update - our lantern count is now up to 10 as we’ve added a couple to the patio. Everyone who sees them is quick to comment on how fabulous they look. And even one that is not in a place that gets direct sun (for solar recharging) stays lit from dusk until sunup. Every once in a while you happen by something, entirely by accident, and you go ‘wow, could that really look that good’? Well, once in a very long while the answer to that can be ‘YES’! These are absolutely stunning. They really do make you stop and take a second look to see if there is really a flame there because it looks like it absolutely is. These looked so good we ordered 2 more (now a total of 6) to complete look we wanted. They stay lit from dusk to dawn. We couldn’t be more pleased and, again, think they are not only stunning by Iike nothing you’ve seen on your neighbors yard. Now, if we can just keep the ovenight porch pirates from stealing them. These lanterns look fantastic at night — the warm glow and rustic design make them a great addition to the yard. They give off just the right amount of light for ambiance, and the solar panels do a good job charging during the day. The downside is in the rope and construction. The included “hemp” style rope handle looks nice, but it’s a poor choice for 24/7 outdoor use since it absorbs water, frays, and weakens quickly. On top of that, the manufacturer only used a dab of hot glue to secure the rope into the plastic cap — mine pulled loose almost immediately. I was able to fix it with epoxy, which holds much better, but this is something the maker should have done from the start. A weatherproof synthetic rope or a chain would make these last far longer outdoors. Bottom line: • Looks great when lit, good solar function. • Cheap rope + weak glue make them less durable than they should be. If you’re willing to reinforce the handles yourself, they’re worth it for the nighttime effect. Otherwise, expect to replace or repair the rope sooner than later. Read more

I have several rechargeable LED flame lanterns and my biggest complaint is that they all shut off automatically after 8 hours, regardless of how much battery might be left. I charged this fully from usb and so far it has been running for almost 14 hours :) The flame is very realistic and with the push of a button it becomes a constant yellow non-flickering light. It's about the size I expected - roughly the size of a softball. I'm very pleased with this. Read more
