Sort and rinse a quarter of the beans. Add 32 oz. chicken broth or water—ensure liquid covers beans by at least an inch. Cook in a crock pot on high with a little oil for six hours; add salt only after cooking. Beans may take longer than other brands but make excellent chili. Use water if preferred. I didn't realize the size the bag would be (in terrible at measurements sometimes) and I was happy to find it so big. I ordered for my dog because she doesn't digest kibble well so I meal prep regular food for her every week and I've been searching for these but not in a can.
