I love the belt, it’s sturdy and can be adjusted to fit a range of sizes (runs a little big, as mentioned in the size chart, size down if in between sizes). This is my first lifting belt so I didn’t want to go for one that was too expensive, the price I paid for this is well worth the money. Read more

I’m only giving it a 4 because the ever sometimes acts finicky when trying to make sure it’s properly latched. It’s very good quality though and definitely made my squats or any exercise I’ve used it for better z Read more

The name is weird but the product is solid. I don’t see the purpose in investing in expensive lifting equipment until you’re getting into true powerlifting territory and your squats and DLs exceed 500 lbs - that’s where the best quality might matter due to the extended stress that kind of weight puts on your straps, belts, etc. that being said, my current squat is around 380 for a max and my latest PR for DL is 425 lbs. This belt feels like a major upgrade over my basic $25 belt I got from the E26 or whatever that brand is, which is a great brand and helped me feel secure with an adjustable Velcro strap style belt. But once I got to the 3+ plate territory I felt like that belt was maybe a bit undeserving. So I got this IBRO belt. The name is kinda weird but it feels a lot stronger and helps me stay composed during heavy squats and deadlifts where my older belt didn’t. I highly recommend this for anyone that’s graduating from the beginner level lifting to intermediate and want to be cost conscious without getting a trash product. I imagine that if I add another 100-200 lbs to my squat and deadlift I may eventually consider an even greater quality belt. But for now, with where I’m at, this belt is serving me very well. I would consider myself to be a fairly advanced lifter. Compared to the average Joe I have a relatively high PR with my top 3 totaling over 1400 pounds. While I’m sure there are better quality belts out there I just admit if you dial this one in right and only use it when you need it I find it to be perfect for me. I’m 240 pounds, 5, 10” on the sticky side and I don’t the XL size offers the perfect range of adjustability to fit my needs. Its thickness offers good support and the clamp is sturdy and so far holds strong even with 500 pounds on my back. Always remember these are never supposed to be comfortable if used correctly so I wouldn’t factor that into your choice but even being a relatively advanced lifter this things functions perfectly. Though I owned the belt for over a year, I only used it for maybe 10% of my lifting days. On those days I had it, the belt worked OK. It was my first lever belt, so not sure if it’s the belt or what, but when latched it would leave some crazy bruises on my skin. However, several weeks ago the pin responsible for holding the entire lever assembly together loosened, and eventually fell out, never to be seen again. And leading up to this, the pin had fallen halfway out. I then had to make sure it was in all the way because you can be seriously injured from a belt failure. Serious issue with durability.
