When I first got the product in Dec 2024, it worked great. Every time I have used it, it worked great. About 3 weeks ago I needed some freezer space, so I took it out. It was gently placed on a cardboard box. I went to move it a couple of weeks later, and discovered that the base cracked, and the blue stuff leaked out of it. Purchased this instead of Ninja Creami. Made one batch of Ice cream thus far. worked as advertized. 25 min soft serve added mix-ins. five min later transfered to container for freezing. what did not fit was consumed. Bowl is in freezer waiting for next batch. I plan on purchasing the 1/2 gal Whipping cream and making 4 batches over a week for a month of ice cream in the freezer. Read more

This was a bargain vs the actual KitchenAid brand offering. You do have to read the instructions and prep everything in advance, but that is okay if you know prior to. The bowl fits great on our 4.5Q tilt head machine. It freezes in close to 24 hours in our refrigerator, and likely could do 2 batches without needing refreezing. Only negative would be the inside mixer attachment has a big enough gap that it doesn’t quite scrape everything, but that may be by design to prevent motor over working. We have made 3 batches so far Gelato, Ice Cream, and Yogurt. Nothing has been perfect but the mint chip strattiatello gelato was really darn good and a fraction of the cost of going out. We also had fun as a family making it. You do need to make the mixture well in advance (12-24 hours) unless you have a blast chiller at home. Great value and quality product. Read more

I was expecting to received white and got red instead. I am not upset about that. It was easy to attach to my Pro 500 Series Mixer. I can not wait to try it out. Read more

I got this ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer after our old ice cream maker died. To be honest, it was old and had a small bowl that just didn't make enough ice cream for the two of us. This ice cream maker bowl is twice the size of the old one, and there's one less kitchen appliance I need to find room for. I keep this bowl in the freezer until I'm ready to make a batch of ice cream or sorbet. The bowl fits in the place where the steel mixer bowl sits, and twist locks in place. There is a small adapter piece that fits where the whisk attachment would go, and a paddle that fits into the adapter when you lower the mixer. The most time consuming thing you have to do is mix up your ice cream or sorbet ingredients and then pour it into the bowl. All of the pieces to this kit fit my machine perfectly and make the best ice cream you have ever tasted. Read more
