DO NOT BUY THIS. IT LEAKS COOLANT ONTO THE COUNTER. The whole point of it is to freeze first and then once frozen, you can pour the ice cream batter in and as it churns the frozen bowl freezes the ice cream—but the bowl is thawing at the same time and it has leaked an excessive amount of CONDENSATION OF COOLANT or whatever is inside it into our counter. Sometimes the chemical has appeared blue and other times it has cooked enough that we have had a big mess of coolant flakes all over our counter, it had puddled and even climbed up some of our stuff. I've already done an in-depth review on this as I own, and use personally, but was so happy with it that I've gifted it as well. Summary: Excellent product, exactly as described, super easy to set up and use, beautiful tub that looks great and functions perfectly, creates the most AMAZING ice cream ever and an absolute breeze to clean. Overall it’s a good ice cream mixing bowl, but the base doesn’t quite thread into my kitchenaid. Luckily the side handles stick out far enough that they catch on the stand to stop the bowl from just spinning with the mixer. Read more

I am sooooo in love with this! It works great and we have made sooo many different flavors of ice cream! Also, the cost is a lot less vs the name brand! Heavy cream, flavored coffee creamer (Butterbeer is killer), awesome ice cream. Freeze the half you don’t eat for the next day even better. Great product! My family loves when dad’s making ice cream. Easy to use, easy to clean. If you want to make two batches the second will have to go in the freezer for a while before it’s a good ice cream consistency.
