I like that recipes are included in the manual. This will work on both the 5 quart and 6 quart stand mixers and both the tilt mixers and non-tilt mixers. There are instructions for both. This was a lot easier to use than I first thought upon receiving it. It's easy to install and cleanup afterwards. It worked well, the freezer bowl easily fit in freezer and seems to be well made. I recommend the day you put the bowl in the freezer that you also make the ice cream mix (usually this is heated on the stove) and then refrigerate it until the next day so that the mix is quite chilled. This will make the mix freeze quicker and have a better consistency. Be careful not to over mix as the ice cream will start to melt. Read more

Works great if you follow the directions. Pre-freeze it for 24 hours. Make sure you're putting your ice cream base in the fridge as well for 2-3 hours. You will get a very smooth consistency if you do. So far so good. Just be careful to not put too many hard mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts too early as it can bind up the spade from rotating.
