I love this ice cream maker! One thing I realized after doing some research and testing of several recipes is that the recipe itself must be carefully considered when using this machine. Meaning that the sugar and fat content can effect the outcome because too much sugar, or too much fat content ; such as in heavy whipping cream or whole milk, can and will prevent the ingredients from solidifying into ice cream. So careful consideration should be taken into account when choosing ice cream recipes. The machine does a great job churning the ingredients, but if you choose a recipe with high fat or sugar content, it will not turn to a solid ice cream, you will want to put it into a freezer over night for it to complete the process instead of tossing it out due to frustration. Who wants to throw away all that goodness when it can be technically saved right? Anyhow, this is a good ice cream machine, just be mindful of the recipe you choose. Read more

I was a little skeptical at first, but this TINANA ice cream maker totally exceeded my expectations. First off—no pre-freezing! That’s a huge win. Junk. My first unit made five batches then the Channing arm stopped. I have Amazon insurance and this is covered so they sent me a new one. Marginal annoyance on the return process. I just unboxed the replacement unit... which broke after two batches! This last batch the arm broke a little under the soft stage and unfortunately was probably the best batch ever and completely wasted. This unit is loud, not silent like the description states. Handy little table top countertop, ice cream maker It holds roughly about two cups The recipe book is all in milligrams The instructions are super easy to follow You don't have to chill anything It is simple as fill up inside canister. Let's start with the good! For $80 this is a great first time ice cream maker. It takes about 1.5 hrs to make a soft ice cream with no prefreezing (which was the reason I bought it) I love that it is compact. It doesn't have a removable container making it different (not difficult) to clean. It makes enough to make 2 servings. (I fill it half way because I'm not sure if it can handle more) The downside I tried to upload a short video and no matter what it comes up with an error, so I can't. It is not as quiet as I had hoped. I have a counter top ice machine and am used to a compressor making noise but this is a high pitched whine every rotation. It will not stop me from using this but next time I would spend a little more and getter a better model. It also didn't come with very good instructions luckily it is not rocket science. Their is also no recipe book and as I have never made ice cream I was hoping for a couple of tried and true recipes but I found some online. Overall I'll keep using it and am in love with making my own fresh frozen yogurt at home. Impressive mold of rose ice. Beautiful. You & your guests feel special. To remove, just let the mold sit out of the freezer for about 5 minutes & you can lift the ice out easily with fingers. Ice lasts a long time when in glass. Ice stays upright in glass . Great for iced tea, any cool drink. You can tea or lemon juice to flavor ice, not just water. Using fresh spring water rather than chlorinated tap water enhances flavor of drinks. Add rose petals, fresh mint leaves, herbs, lemon peel befor freezing. You can remove the rose ice and store in freezer bag for later use. Very happy w my purchase. Makes a nice gift! Read more
