This a great item for when you have a craving of something sweet. Instant ice-cream or frozen yogurt with fruits as a snack last minute. This is a plus. Also fin to do with kids. Easy to clean and use. This is great for the kids to do. Light weight. I like it. Would be great gift! Read more

I've seen people with their own rolled ice cream machines on social media and wanted to give this a try at home, so I'm glad this came up for me to experience it on the cheap. Sadly, what you would get for $12 is maybe one serving that can fit a tiny cup before the coldness of the plate has tempered and no longer can freeze the cream solid, instead giving you the kind of slush you get when snow outside reacts to 40-degree weather - NOT ice cream. What I show in the picture is as much ice cream as I could make fresh out of the freezer after 15+ hours of freezing, basically one pour. It is NOT hard to make the ice cream freeze and curl, if it is immediately fresh out of the freezer and it's your first pour. When it works, it works great, but I don't think the gel-filled cooling concept works well for making rolled ice cream, at least it doesn't in this product. You won't even be able to serve two people from one of these, let alone entertain a family or a bunch of friends. A proper machine with a compressor is needed to do it right, and it costs quite a bit more, but what you get for the low price should be very, very low expectations and I don't think they have physics on their side. The size of the table is also pretty small, but I wouldn't even be bothered by it if I could make at least 4 cups of ice cream and not half of one cup. For $12, maybe as a "sample" for the real thing, with the above limitations in mind. Read more
