I originally got these for post-surgery recovery and have ended up using them constantly ever since. During my reduction recovery, I used a mastectomy pillow with little pockets, and these packs fit perfectly inside. The fabric kept them from being too cold or too hot against my skin, and it made a huge difference in staying comfortable while healing. They’ve also been great for keeping groceries cold on the long trip home from Trader Joe’s. I line my cooler with one on the bottom, two on the sides, and one on top, and everything stays cold the whole way there and back. They don’t melt fast and even when they do start to thaw, they don’t leak or drip water everywhere. I also use them on the back of my neck a lot. They stay flexible and don’t turn into frozen bricks, which makes them great for headaches or just cooling down. I’ve used them both hot and cold, depending on what I need. Sometimes I’ll use a cold one on my neck and a warm one on my feet to help regulate my body temp during migraines, and that combo really helps. These are great. They have a good amount of gel in them to apply heat/cold where applied. We keep 2 in the freezer and 2 in a drawer so we always have a hot or cold option. Decent amount of heating or cooling capacity and at 1/4 the price of name brand options we get much more versatility. Read more
I purchased the 4-pack, which are 10" x 5.5" each. I hurt my lower back and needed something that would work. These are really great because even when completely Frozen they remain soft so they can fit the shape of wherever you put it. I've used them for both heat and cold. At first I did not think that I would need four of them but it turned out to be very useful because if you are alternating hot and cold you can always have at least one in the freezer ready to go while the others are either being used or recently put back in the freezer. If you have a back brace it works great to tuck these in back of the brace and then tighten it up and it pushes it up against your back.
