I'm short (5'6") and overweight (240 lb, 44-46 waist) so it's often tricky to get the size of clothing right. I normally choose a 2XL size but since these pants are going to be worn over other pants and jeans I tried out the 3XL size and they fit just fine. The waist has elastic and a cord so I could cinch them tighter if needed, but they stayed in place just fine without that. They have velcro and a zipper at the ankles so they can be put on over shoes and cinched down as tight as needed on the bottom. They are comfortable to wear and have a nylon mesh liner on the inside. They aren't particularly noisy when walking which can be a problem with some rain pants. I tried out these rain pants on a day that was raining steadily but not particularly hard. They did a pretty good job of keeping me dry; just a little moisture leaked through on my front thighs where the rain dripped down from my coat. Overall I am pleased with my purchase, because of the value for the price, though I would prefer a bit more waterproofing. Read more
