Flexible waistband is wide and comfortable with no rolling, thus stays nice and flat. High quality stitching in seams, waistband, pockets, and cuffs. This is an excellent product. The jeans are very comfortable. Side pockets are deep enough to hold a cell phone. Back pockets are well placed so that one is not sitting bone to wallet. I have bought about 8 of these jeans over the last 2-3 yrs. I am very satisfied with them. I have a disabled son who is not able to do a belt so that his jeans are not drooping. This type of jean, with an elastic waist, increases his independence. I buy a size 38 waist & 30 long. He is 5’9’’ & 200 lbs. I like the way they fit, not tight or loose. One thing that helps keep them looking better is that I tack down (sew) the edges of the back pockets with a few stitches as they have a tendency to flip up when washed. I would give them 5 stars if I did not need to tack down the edges of the back pockets. I buy the dark navy wash. It does fade over time but that color is ok with me. They last for years. Since the pandemic, I gained some weight, with a waistline between 42 and 44 inches. I ordered jeans with elastic waistlines in both the 42 and 44 waist sizes. I'm short and had never been able to get pants in my waist size that did not alterations by a tailor. Being able to get 42 or 44 inch pants with a 28 inch leg length was a huge savings in time, inconvenience, and money., Because of the elasticity in the waist bands, both sizes fit although both require belts to stay up. (It's a little easier tucking in my shirts with the wider waist band, but not markedly so.) I didn't know what a mock zipper was, but it's a real zipper that just doesn't open at the top. There are no buttons or other closures to loosen when putting on or taking off the pants. An advantage to someone like me with arthritis in his hands. I didn't find it any more awkward when going to the restroom than with traditional pants. I had purchased some other casual pants from Amazon that closed at the top with a single button that already appear to be pulling loose--a fatal flaw for a widowed 79 year old who hasn't held a needle in his hand for more than 30 years. One problem: the jeans are not colorfast. Even washing them in cold water does not prevent the blue dye from bleeding. I recommend washing separately. But I also recommend the jeans themselves for comfort and convenience. Read more
