I received my order very quickly and am happy with my purchase. The DVD player is very easy to set up as it comes with the cables which are color coded for an easy plug in to the TV. It also comes with an instruction booklet and a remote with a pack of two batteries. I set it up and it came on when turned on and I watched a movie. I did have a bit of trouble with the sound quality as the sound was loud and then seemed to drift off and I had to keep turning the TV sound louder to hear the movie. I noticed in the instructions that you can change the speed of how fast the movie plays and thought maybe the settings for the DVD, did not match my TV. I have not had time to do the remote setup, as to speeds or menu on with the remote, so I am hoping that is the source of the sound problem. Otherwise I am very pleased with the DVD, and feel I paid a fair price for it. Wanted to add that on back of DVD unit their are several cable plugs that are color coded. Depending on your TV, and unit be sure to watch which ones you use. The cable included with the unit is color coded to match the red, white, and yellow. For my older TV it was necessary to use the lower set of plug-ins. I had mistakenly plugged into the top red plug-in instead of using the lower one. Once I changed this to using only the lower row of plug-in holes, my volume was perfect. So in review I am very much pleased with this DVD unit. Read more

Don't be fooled by the lower price tag, the player is excellent, can compare to others with similar functions, at any price. It is very compact in size but delivers big. A lot of my favorite movies/DVD's are more than 10 years old and well worn. On this player the colors are more vibrant than ever and audio is crisp and clean. The only reason I held back on a fifth star was the remote, it is so tiny and the lettering on the buttons is so light that I can barely read it. This is as much my a problem with my eyes/age as is an inconvenience of the remotes design. This would not stop me from buying this player again. I have this player for a only 1 week, so I cant attest to long term reliability, but so far its very good and I would recommend it as well as buy it again for my self or gift. Read more

A really nice performing DVD player for the money. It has nice picture quality and sound for being rca cables. I recommend upgrading the rca cable to a heavier gauge but is not necessary, the one supplied works just fine. I would also recommend better batteries for the remote as to the ones in the box are beyond garbage and should never even be allowed to be sold. If you do choose to use them be very careful not to squeeze or put any pressure on them or they will dent and flatten out easily which will lead to premature leaking. You can't have the best of the best and keep it at the lowest price point possible so it's understandable and expected. If it had an HDMI output it would be complete. Some complain about the remote being too small and not working. I've had no issues as long as you make sure you press the button somewhat firmly it works great every time. I needed a multi-region dvd player to play my UK dvds. When I found this dvd player on Amazon, I was a little worried that this dvd player was just a bad cheapo, since it was so cheap. Some of the reviews were not good either, which also worried me. The dvd player was delivered and my husband tossed the box on the ground. I thought that, if the dvd player was not so bad, that must have done it. I opened the box and I can now see with my own eyes that the dvd player is small and very light, which usually indicates cheap. I hook it up with ease, and the dvd player turns on, which was a relief, and plays my UK dvds with no problems. Image is crystal clear, better than my expensive dvd player, if I might say. Works absolutely great, has all kinds of features. I love love love it and would buy it again. Only down is that the imprint on the buttons of the remote is very faint, you can hardly read it. I thought it'd be worth a try for the money, I was VERY wrong. The picture quality is okay, but if you have a problem with it, might as well throw it out.. This DVD player was stuck with the closed captions on, and wouldn't turn off, so I tried over and over to contact the company through their website, with no response.. I called the number in the owners manual, with no answer.. When I FINALLY got someone to pick up the phone, they were nasty and rude. Said the email address was wrong in the manual(????).. But they told me it was an internal problem with the player, and it'd cost me $12 to ship it to them to fix it, and $12 to ship it back to me(???) Even though it has a "1 year warranty".. When he gave me some ideas to try and fix it, he kept trying to hang up on me, told me to try things out and call back tomorrow and hung up.. I called right back and got no answer.. Absolutely useless.. Now I'm past the Amazon return time and I'm stuck with a POS DVD player.. Tried to go through the right channels and go to the manufacturer instead of Amazon, that was a poor decision on my behalf.. All in all, poor product, absolutely disgusting customer service.. Very light and compact - easy to hook up - very reasonable price. I bought this so my wife can watch her workout videos on our bedroom TV. Just puled in the electrical cord, plugged in the RCA cables, and turned it on. The only drawback is that the remote control is so small - it is hard to read the descriptions for the buttons.
