really straightforward and easy to use - since starting to clean my steam wand more regularly with this, it hasn't gotten blocked up at all (and it used to quite regularly). it's very effective and once rinsed, can't taste anything at all. it does smell a bit like a cleaner but i guess that's expected, and the smell goes away after rinsing. This steam wand cleaner works extremely well at removing mineral buildup and milk protein residue. After just one use, my steam wand and milk frother were noticeably cleaner and performed better. It is simple to use and does a thorough job without requiring a lot of scrubbing. The 32 oz bottle lasts a long time, and getting up to 192 uses makes it a great value, especially for home baristas or frequent coffee drinkers. I also appreciate that it works well on stainless steel pitchers, leaving them clean and residue free. This is a reliable and effective cleaning solution that helps keep coffee equipment in great condition. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain their espresso machine properly. You get many uses and honestly since I've Honda 161 cleaner delivered I've only had to use it twice over a long period of time so I have many more uses to get out of this bottle. This concentrated cleaner has been essential for keeping my espresso machine’s steam wand and milk pitchers in pristine condition. The formula effortlessly dissolves stubborn mineral buildup and milk residue with just a quick soak or wipe, restoring performance and hygiene without harsh scrubbing. The 32 oz bottle offers incredible value—up to 192 uses means it lasts for months even with daily coffee routines. I love that it’s versatile enough for stainless steel pitchers, frothers, and even other kitchen tools. The non-toxic, odor-free formula is safe for food-contact surfaces and doesn’t leave any chemical aftertaste. My only minor complaint is the bottle isn’t labeled with measurement guidelines, but a capful per soak works perfectly. For home baristas or coffee shop owners, this cleaner delivers professional results affordably. It’s eliminated my frustration with clogged wands and sticky pitchers. Read more

I don't know how often you are to clean your steam wand but 192 uses/bottle seems like enough to get you through awhile. I keep my 12.5 year old machine in pretty good condition with regular maintenance and cleanings but never thought about steam wand gunk build up. Had I been more thoughtful prior to initial use I would have tore my machine down to inspect for build up that needed to be irradicated. alas, I did not do that. I can say however that after a cleaning following the simple instructions, I appear to be build up free so either this solution works wonders or I had no build up to begin with but at 2-3 milk based drinks per day over the course of more than a decade I bet I had something gross in there. I did not notice any weird residue on or in my wand and it did not seem to impart any off tastes to my next cup. I purged the wand a little longer than normal just in case and it seemed to rinse away without a trace. I did deduct a star for ambiguity on its country of origin with conflicting claims of "made in USA" and "imported by..." as seen in the pictures Read more

When I steam milk with my espresso machine I often find it hard to get the crusty residue off the wand - especially if in my rush to drink my delicious coffee, I don't wipe the wand off promptly. This 32 oz bottle of steam wand cleaner should last awhile since you only use 1/2 tsp each time - in fact the bottle proudly proclaims 192 uses per bottle! I am unsure what is in this potion since the ingredients are not listed, which I guess is not required since it isn't a consumable. However it does say to call poison control if ingested. The cleaner is made in the USA. Cleaning the wand is a bit of a process. You dilute the solution in a steamer mug with water, steam the water for 30 seconds then wipe the wand. Next you need to rinse the mug, fill with water and steam just water for 30 seconds. I assume this second step removes any residue from the cleaner. As far as effectiveness it worked great for almond milk and dairy milk. I often steam a protein drink and it did not work as well to remove that residue. This is definitely an extra step and I am not sure I will clean the wand this way each time, but will probably implement it into my weekly machine cleaning routine. Hopefully it will also help with any buildup inside the steaming wand. Read more
