Great costume. Tried it on as soon as I received it, fit well and looks great! I cannot wait until halloween to wear it. It came packaged with a hanger & a heavy duty plastic bag to keep it stored in, very nice! My only problem was that at first I could not fit my head through the hole in the hood. Turns out that there is a velcro opening you have to open in order to make room for your head, then just reseal the velcro after you get it on. This is a minor problem however and not worth losing a star over so I am giving a full 5 stars. Perhaps some sort of directions may have helped, but being a typical male, probably not. I ordered this for my friend who is 6'4" and skinny (about a 40" chest). It came right down to the top of his shoes, the arms were long enough and it looked good around the middle. He was happy with it and we all thought he looked great. The best part about it is the hood. It fits well, appears ominous, and has that nicely sewn point at the back which looks slightly sinister. Overall this robe is perfect for the big and tall sorcerer in your life. It would also make a great grim reaper costume with the right mask, gloves and scythe (sold separately). Read more
First of all I have to tell I really like the Costume it looks great, it fits great. Hood is kinda huge but it looks like classic Sorcerer hood and it is really nice. I think Necklace is really cheap looking so you would probably want to change it with something else when you wear your costume. I got the Medium size. I'm 1.82 cm 92kg and it almost touches the floor. Even if you would have more weight i am sure it would fit and you wouldn't have problem with that. I gave it 4 star even thought i like it. This is an awesome costume. I was surprised at the high quality of the fabric and it was comfortable too. The sizing chart was almost spot on (maybe a tiny big, but I was on the lower end of the sizing so its about right). I only wish there was a quality staff you can buy to go with it, most of them out there are plastic pieces of junk, It is a two piece costume with the robe & the hood (I guess the belt is separate too), so you can remove the hood if you wanted/needed to. The necklace that comes with it is neat, but not high quality. The necklace length is not real long so you may need a longer piece of string for it. Overall though I am very happy with it. Read more
Purchased this a year ago, 2014. Wore it to Salem, Mass. for Halloween and for two Haunted Houses we put on for a local non profit. It was a big hit. The quality is excellent. Looks very well made and is. We live in New York so heat control is not an issue so I can't say if the product retains a lot of heat but I wore a jacket underneath when outside and only street clothes inside and it kept me warm outside and I didn't sweat when inside. Very easy on and off. Such an easy outfit and great looking. Buy a mask and you have an instant great costume that will last for several seasons. Read more
My team at work were wizards and witches this year for Halloween. I had a LOT of compliments with this one. It's excellent material and workmanship so I can use it many times over. The cheap ones at the pop up Halloween stores can't touch this quality. Perfect for a Renaissance Fair or any costume party. The look on this is AMAZING. I really love that it fits and looks like the picture on the product page. While my costume is a little too big, it's entirely my fault because I bought an extra-large, thinking that this item might run small- it doesn't just order whatever size you normally would buy for your own shirts and you'll be fine. Looks nice, except for the stupid 'amulet'. the material is heavy enough to have some structure to it, which I liked. I had to hem it up, but better that than too short. Have to find a way to take it up a notch next year, though, as I wouldn't pay the price if it's not a multi-year costume. Read more
