The bathroom scales that I've shopped for over the years are horrible. Whenever I needed a new one for myself or as a gift, I have gone to Wal-Mart, lined up all the models (and same models) on the floor side-by-side, and then stepped on them to see what weight they register. Always, the readings are all over the map (even the identical models) and there may be 4 to 6 pounds difference between some them. I would then select one of the scales that most agreed with one or more of the other scales, and which approximated my own weight on that day, hoping that it might represent some degree of greater accuracy than most of the other scales. This time, however, I read reviews on Amazon hoping that someone had discovered a relatively accurate scale (since there did not seem to be any truly accurate consumer-level scales). The reviews of the INEVIFIT Bathroom Scale we amazing in citing it's accuracy and I went ahead and bought it on that basis. When I receive the scale in the mail I immediately tested it for accuracy and found it to be dead on the mark. Oddly, I had not cared how it might look or how easy it would be to read the scale. I only wanted accuracy. Yet, the scale is beautiful and the digital LED display is especially easy to read. Also, the digital readout certainly offers a more precise reading than do analog models (with the painted markings on a moving wheel) that are difficult to read through the window at one’s feet, and hard to precisely estimate when the hair rests between the markings. Quality wise, this scale is way beyond 98% of commercial products that I have bought in recent years and it seems especially durable. One last thing - I use the INEVIFIT Bathroom Scale on a flat ceramic tile of slightly larger size so that the feet are perfectly level from one another. Not sure if this adds anything to accuracy, however, because I've not yet tested it on slightly uneven surfaces. Read more

I love my new INEVIFIT Bathroom Scale! It is THE scale you need to track your weight to the decimal. Forget the BMI/BMR readings; those can be readily found online. I just needed to know my weight----accurate weight----and this scale is perfect. Not only is it accurate (aligns with my doctor's scale), but it is really sleek and beautiful as well. The large number display makes it easy to read from a standing position, and it is super easy to use right out of the box. Calibration is as easy as placing one foot on the scale for a second or two until it reads "0". The scale works equally well if you need to move it from room to room. As I have only hard wood floors, I can't tell you how it works on carpet, but I think any scale you use should be placed on a hard surface. It was, for me at least, surprisingly difficult to choose a bathroom scale. There must be well over a hundred to select from. I bet I spent an hour looking at scales. First and foremost, I just wanted a simple weight only scale that was very accurate with good repeatability. I also wanted a good quality scale that will last. After looking at reviews, prices and specifications, I chose the Inevifit model I-B5002W and I am glad I did. It is designed in the US by an American company and manuactured in China. The scale is nicely boxed and is an attractive unit. It has a bit of heft and seems to be well finished and sturdy. It comes with batteries and is easy to use. I like that you do not have to tap it first unless it has been moved. My whole family has used it and thought it was very accurate. I can step on and off multiple times and get the exact same result. I am very pleased with the scale and the value it provides. If you are looking for a weight only scale (In my opinion, the BMI and BFA features on other scales are not accurate) you should look at this one. Read more
