You get a cut put a small drop on your finger tip touch it to the cut it may burn for 2 seconds and the bleeding stop instantly. I highly recommend it I will definitely buy it again. At first, I only used it for touch-ups after my daily shave. But long after I migrated to an electric razor, I've kept some of this liquid styptic on hand for other 'emergencies'. You know the kind - those scrapes and cuts that refuse to stop bleeding. It even works for those aggravating kitchen knife nicks that won't stop bleeding, so food prep can continue. As you may suspect, it won't work as well on deep knife cuts, or on cuts made by chef-sharp knives. For those, you need prolonged pressure on the cut, sometimes with an ice cube. And if that doesn't work, see a doctor. Be aware that application of this liquid styptic to a wound will result in a sharp stinging sensation. And the worse the wound, the worse the stinging will be.
