UPDATE!!!!!!!!! EXTREMELY BAD DESIGN

jamesNovember 14, 2019✓ Verified purchase

OLD REVIEW: (The drain is located at one end of the tub. This is designed to go on a bed with a patient inside. Patients butts naturally sink into the mattress. that is where "ALL" of the water goes. it does not go to the drain. getting the water out makes more work than what this product is worth. The drain needs to be centered. Another problem it the water bag. the hole to fill the bag is way too small. Getting water into take a lot of effort as well. If this Item would drain, I would have given it five stars.) Update: The company contacted me about my issues. They were kind enough to redesign this product and send me another to try out. They made another drain into the correct location and the new drain is a newer, better design. I would now recommend this product Read more

Extremely Poor Design – Drainage Failure

Ricardo NoguerasJanuary 2, 2026✓ Verified purchase

The drain is located at one end of the tub and positioned to one side. Contrary to the advertisement images, the drain is not centered. When a patient lies on a mattress, the body naturally sinks—particularly in the buttock area—causing all the water to pool there instead of flowing toward the drain. As a result, the water does not drain, and removing it becomes more work than the product is worth. Additionally, the drain plug is not flush with the tub floor, so water does not enter the drain until it rises high enough to reach the edge of the plug. The drain sleeve is made of the same flexible material as the rest of the tub. When weight is applied, the sleeve becomes compressed, causing its walls to collapse and stick together, which further prevents proper drainage. Using this tub, it took me approximately three hours to bathe my mother—an activity that normally takes about one hour using a shower curtain and many towels to manage the water. This outcome defeats the intended purpose of the product. Read more

How do we drain the water out?

PedroApril 12, 2022✓ Verified purchase

I got this bathtub for one elderly family member who is not able to get up from bed and is not able to walk at all and is incontinent. I like this bathtub because it is as big as the hospital bed so there is plenty of room to bathe. The material is sturdy enough to keep the mattress from getting wet. The problem is that the drain hole does not work in our case and the water just sits right under the patient's lower back and buttocks are laying. Since the patient is incontinent I put a plastic bedpan with liner and absorbent pad under the buttocks of my patient to catch any bowel movement that may occur during the bathing. I find the portable shower bag this tub comes with difficult to use because it does not supply enough water for a bath and the hose can come off spilling all the water over the floor. A bucket of warm water and a scoop to pour water over the patient is a much better alternative than the bag. To remove all the water that sits under the patient's body I use Luigi's Aquarium/Fish tank siphon hand pump so that all that water can go into a drain bucket. This is why I gave this product 4 stars. Read more

Works like a Charm

jeri hollandFebruary 23, 2020✓ Verified purchase

I'm 64 years old and I have to bathe my adult son. I have been looking for days for a new shower chair that would go over the threshold of the shower stall. I gave up and changed to giving him a bath in the bed. This item works like a charm but you do need a wet dry vacuum to remove the water. Lowes has a shop vac 6 gallons for $55 plus tax and you also need the crevice tools that is extra. it worked great and no lifting. Read more

Draining is horrible. And showerhead on bag doesn’t stay on because of water pressure. Don’t recommend. Read more

large size portable tub

Kindle CustomerFebruary 24, 2021✓ Verified purchase

bought this for my bed bound mother, the size was great,it resembles a pool, but was not happy with the position of the drain tube,if a person is laying down, there weight crimps the drain tube and you pretty much have to get the water out with buckets.this drain tube needs to be place somewhere else as it sits right in the middle of the tub,and makes it very hard to give some one a bath Read more

Problemas

JAMES GILBERTJune 17, 2023✓ Verified purchase

El desagüe es ineficiente debe estar mas cargado a la esquina ...y la manguera de la bolsa para poner el agua se desprendió al momento de usarla provocando un tiradero del líquido....esto puede evitarse si le hubiesen agregado una abrazadera Read more
