I am not an underwear model, as you can probably tell. I just put these on, over nylons and my own undergarments, and took out the measuring tape, so that other Amazon shoppers could get a clear idea of what they are looking at. Here is a bit of personal history, and I will try to keep it relevant to these underpants ... I am in my early 50's right now and for some odd reason, perhaps heriditary, I have lost quite a bit of weight and muscle mass. I am of European descent, and when I was 14-16, (of the age group that these underwear are being sold to), I was quite a bit more voluminous in the bottom and the thighs. So I ordered these underwear thinking that either they were a true teen size, and that my daughter would fit them in a few years, or that they are a "big kid" size, and that I would fit them because right now, my thighs are narrow at the joints. Well the answer is option 2. Kids grow at very different rates, and after about the age of 5, genes and lifestyle set in very quickly. You all know what size your kids need. I hope that my pictures helped to clarify. This underwear will fit somebody's kid. As far as quality goes, I have confidence in this product. It is lockstitched through and through without a single loose thread. There is also no itchy tag in sight, and there is a cotton pad sewn over the crotch. (Standard in quality women's undergarments.) First impressions I was impressed with the quality of the fabric used. These are really nice to the touch soft something you wouldn't mind having on your skin all day long. Material is the same type of fabric you would see on the t-shirt decently thick without being too much where it'll be uncomfortable on a hot day. Just right. Not a whole lot of stretchiness to them. Not sure the material but it seems like 100% cotton. The fit is perfect on my 60 lb 8-year-old daughter. Just order for the age range and you should be fine. She likes the cute colors. She gets herself dressed in the morning and regular pics these so that's a stamp of approval. Value isn't the strongest I would say average normal price is $23 for an eight pack which is about what you would pay for decent undies in retail store. If you get these on sale, it's a five-star buy. Read more
