Anyone remember the episode of Friends where Phoebe and Rachel find that positive pregnancy test in the bathroom trash can before Monica's wedding? Rachel's green robe. I have been searching high and low (for YEARS) for something with that same cut, fabric, movement, and vibe. And as a plus sized woman, my options have been limited. It's always terrycloth or fuzz or sherpa or faux silk/satin. And the drape was never right. But then I saw this robe advertised on TikTok and found the seller here on Amazon. And, ladies, when I tell you this robe is EXACTLY what I wanted and more, I mean it. The green versions aren't exact to my reference, but I don't care. The touch, the feel, the sway, the lightness. Somehow it hides my apron belly and accentuates my bust beautifully at the same time. It's luxurious and breezy. Soft and comfortable. It makes me feel in touch with my femininity, but not in an overt I-just-murdered-my-husband-and-only-wear-ostrich-feathers kind of way. I have two colors already and will be buying more. I bought this robe to wear while getting ready for my wedding this November, and I’m very happy with it! The fabric is super soft and comfortable, and having the double ties (one inside and one outside) was very important to me. The pockets are a good size and will be very nice to keep my phone in while getting ready. The main tie is not sewn onto the back like the listing says but that isn’t a big deal for me, and I can sew it myself if I want to. I usually get tops in a 3X or 4X because I'm a 48C and they fit better. The 5X robe gives a little breathing room and fits well. The belt is long enough for plus-sized women and the robe closes nicely in front with plenty of room for lounging around in or walking around the house. The fabric itself is very soft and thinner so it doesn't add a lot of weight to your look. I'm wearing this with my favorite chemise lingerie or lace pajamas. This robe is lightweight, soft and stretchy. Great for comfort. However, if you're looking for warmth, this would not do it. There are belt loops. I previously bought the black robe and the belt at the waist was sewn on. I prefer the sewn on belt versus the belt loops. I have washed and dried it in the dryer multiple times and comes out looking great. Read more
This is the robe I was looking for!! It’s lightweight without feeling cheap or thin. It is soft, the perfect length (I’m about 5 ft 6in), and keeps me covered enough while sitting or moving around. I toss it in the washer and dryer with no problem, and it hasn’t faded or gotten messed up. It honestly makes me feel so grown up and ladylike (I’m almost 40 lol). The robe fits. But because it is made of a thin stretchy fabric it feels more of like a cover up material than a robe. If you're just getting out of the shower or hot tub this robe is not going to absorb moisture. It will cling to you and you will be fighting it every step of the way. It's kind of like cheap paper towels in a public bathroom. Sure they are paper, sure I guess they can be considered a towel or napkin but all they are doing is moving water around and getting wet, not absorbing. So if you already dry and you just want to lounge in the robe sure, or say youre getting ready to go shower and want to wear the robe it's fine.
