I wanted to transfer images from the Photos app on my iPhone to a thumb drive. This connector and instructions have you going to the Files App (NOT File Manager!) on your iPhone and then transferring files. Well, the Files App just has the Downloads folder and the On My Phone option. The Photos app does NOT store image there. You have to go to the Photos app, select each file individually (there's no Select All option!) and transfer the files to the Downloads folder. THEN you can use this cable to transfer them to the thumb drive. But that process also involves selecting each file individually because there is no Select All option. So basically if you are trying to transfer hundreds of photos from your Photos App to a thumb drive, don't buy this, it just isn't practical. Buy a Lightening to USB-C cable or USB-C to USB-C connector depending on your Mac. This cable is just for onsey-twosey file transfers. It is not a heavy lifter. Read more
