My son loves robotics and building things. This is perfect. He has a lot of model cars so he chose the robot style. The only issue is it really only goes forward and backward but doesn't turn. It may turn with the car but have not checked. He is 11 and did it by himself with zero issue. Comparing to a well known building block company, he did say this one was a bit trickier only because the pieces were mixed together whereas the other company numbers the bags of pieces.
