Just bought this gym equipment. While it took about 12 hours for my wife and I to assemble, this is an awesome piece of equipment. We just built a home gym and this machine finishes things out nicely. Very sturdy and high quality. You can virtually work every part of your body. A couple of hints on the assembly. Lay everything out, organize the bolts, nuts, etc, and have time and patience. Assembly instructions are only exploded view pictures. No detailed step-by-step. Do not install any of the pulleys until you are attaching the cables. Otherwise, like me, you will have to unbolt them to run the cable through. Read more
The product arrived in 3 well-packaged boxes with all the tools necessary to put it together. It is good quality material and very sturdy. It took around 3 hours to put together and it's definitely a 2 person job. The instructions are fairly easy to follow and all the pieces fit together very nicely. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and haven't had any issues. It's a really nice product. Read more
The product itself is really good; the reason I’m giving only 4 starts out of 5, is because the instruction to build it are really complicate it and confusing, also, I had to buy multiple bolts that appear to be missing. I feel that a better work could have been done. a) I strongly recommend paying the extra $80 to build it, it took me and my family (mostly me) about 16Hrs and I consider myself a handy man and good with tools and I have a bunch of tools that I used and where not included with the equipment. b) Before you buy it, be sure that the space you have designate for it is big enough, it took half of my garage and definitely no car will get in. When the equipment was deliver it was send with only one person on the truck (let me tell you, not enough) the equipment is heavy and they wanted to leave it right by the curve rather than inside of my garage; I refuse to accepted and the seller was there to help me put it inside the next day. About the equipment itself after all the drama of putting it together, I really like it; you can have three people working at the same time and everyone has their own weights to work with; however, I feel this is for beginners to intermediate weight lifters, I started with almost half the weights and I’m not lift a lot, so if you are really into heavy lifting I would be sure it fits your needs. I hope this help you. Read more
This thing comes as advertised. It fits perfectly in my garage and was not as tall as I expected, just under 7 ft. It took me about 3-4 hours to assemble the entire thing. It was a little difficult getting the arms on by myself, but I made it happen. Also, the tools provided aren't the greatest, and left my hands hurting for a while afterwards. Nevertheless, I was able to assemble it all by myself. As far as the mechanics, this thing is butter smooth! The arms, the wires, everything works perfectly, and you can adjust between exercises with ease. Since my gym has been closed, this thing has been a life saver. I'm so glad I got it! Read more
I am celebrating today, because 11 weeks after delivery of this item, the last issue has been resolved. In short, the product is decent, fairly rugged in construction & reasonably smooth operation. Plan on about 25 man hours to unpack and assemble, if you have competent help and the right tools. However, the real problem was that it showed up with multiple issues; 1.) None of the weights were included with the shipment. Body solid and the shipper argued for a 2 weeks about whether they were never shipped or lost during shipment. Amazon finally had to threaten with another duplicate replacement order before Body Solid finally relented and sent out the weights. 2.) One part of the metal frame (pec fly exercise) was welded out of position at the factory, resulting in a badly asymmetric movement. This one was promptly replaced by Body Solid. 3.) Missing label on one of the weight stacks. A small issue, but this one inexplicably took 11 weeks probably 5 or 6 requests on my part before they sent some new stickers! 4.) The non-skid adhesive strips are junk and pealed off in a couple days. Knowing that Body Solid would just send more of the crappy strips I opted to toss these and order good ones with foil backing from McMaster. To their credit, Amazon concierge service was absolutely outstanding, and worked tirelessly to cajole the manufacturer into fixing everything. I can only assume that without Amazon's leverage, I would still be fighting these battles. Read more
Love it! Smooth operation, just about every exercise you could do in the gym. Feels better than a "real" gym machine. Genius husband put it together in less than 12 hours, it's difficult but do-able. Seller was very helpful and the it arrived before due date which is what we wanted. Read more
I've had this thing for a few months now and I can say its really good. Assembly was pretty easy - I did it 100% solo. It does take up a fair bit of floor space but that's to be expected for a gym. It works smooth and feels stable. There are a lot of exercises that can be done on this piece of equipment and I don't have to worry about dropping free weights on myself while bench pressing without a spotter. Read more
