I love this toner. I love all of its ingredients. it contains royal jelly and real gold flakes. It looks luxurious and feels luxurious too. It really moisturizes my skin. I've been using this brand since I was in Korea, and all of their products have been excellent. Highly recommended! Read more

I love Korean skin care, that's pretty much all I use at the moment in my 40s, for my combination skin, which tends to be drier in winter. Plus I'm on tretinoin almost daily and always need that extra hydration. First of all, I'll explain why I'm taking a star off. Unlike other Korean products, especially luxury ones that I've tried before, this box came unsealed, and none of the three bottles inside had those foil vacuum seals under their caps, or at least little stickers on caps to prove that nobody opened them before you did. Also, unfortunately like many luxury products that are priced higher, this product has a very strong fragrance. There's fragrance in the ingredients, so that's not surprising, but the fragrance itself lasts for hours. Believe me, I tried to see how long it'll last, and it stayed on me a super long time. It's not an unpleasant smell, but it's very strong perfume-like, and shouldn't bother you if you're used to fragranced skincare. I'm still giving it four stars for the quality. I absolutely love the ingredients, the texture is not super watery, once it absorbs, it leaves the skin feeling super hydrated. It's a shame that I cannot use it because of the fragrance, I'm more into unscented and unfragranced skincare, but this will be a perfect gift either for yourself or someone in your family who loves luxury skincare and doesn't mind the smell. They use European standards, which are pretty strict, and this product got 50 points taken of for some things that are not super bad for you, but fragrance and fragrant ingredients will always bring the rating down. The ISA KNOX LXNEW ROYAL GOLDEN TONER SET is exquisitely packaged and would easily impress a gift recipient because it is truly beautiful. There is a kind of liquor called Goldschläger that contains small flakes of real gold in the bottle. It is something that most upscale bars and drinking establishments carry. If you've ever seen it, when the light goes through the bottle, it's dazzling. This has a similar appearance. This toner set is similar, in that there are real gold flecks suspended in clear liquid. I tried to capture it in my pictures, and maybe you'll be able to see how pretty it looks. Apparently this company makes four products in this line. You have three bottles here but apparently only two products. The large bottle and one of my small bottles are both labeled “Royal Golden Toner.” The second small bottle is labeled “Royal Golden Emulsion.” The products that are not included in this set are “Royal Golden Serum” and “Royal Golden Cream”. I am a little bit mystified as to why there is both a large and a small bottle of toner. It seems like one of the small bottles should've been a serum instead of a duplicate of the toner. As the packing content listing makes clear, duplicating the toner was intentional, so I suppose the small toner is a travel-size product. There is a comprehensive pamphlet included that gives the instructions for each of the four products, the philosophy behind the line, and what you can expect each of the products to do for you. A full ingredient list is provided in English on the back of the box, as are more comprehensive instructions on how to apply the product. So far everything's looking good. It's so pretty I hate to say it, but the toner is sticky, tacky, and nothing like any other toners I've ever used. Most toners make my face and skin feel refreshed. This almost creates a mask on your skin that remains tacky. I'm not liking it very much at all. The toner is just not what I consider toner to be. It's a little bit unpleasant. It makes me wonder if it's something like Plexiderm, which is supposed to fill in fine lines and kind of freezes your skin over to give you a smoother surface to apply makeup over. I just really can't tell you exactly what is wrong about this, but it's not a nice product in my opinion because it doesn't feel good on my skin. On the other hand, the emulsion product is lovely. It is soft, silky, and smooth, and it feels absolutely wonderful. But most of this kit is toner. In fact, you get about six times more of the toner product than you get of the emulsion in this set. Because I'm not happy with the toner product, I cannot recommend this kit no matter how lovely it looks. It looks positively luxurious, but it feels tacky. The product came beautifully packaged and on time. I had been wanting to try Korean skin care products because of their good reputation. When I think about toners, I usually think of them being watery but this one is thicker. In fact, it seems too heavy for my skin, so I only use it at night. Same with the serum. I haven't marked a noticeable difference yet, but I will finish out the bottle and update my review if I have more thoughts on it. I do wish that they had included another product in the set rather than a travel size of the toner; I would have liked to try one of their other products. Read more

First off, this set comes in a pretty gold box. It holds 3 very pretty items. These would look nice on a vanity. You get a large toner, a smaller travel toner, and an emulsion. I'm a skincare lover but recently new to regularly using toners. This one does have a stronger scent to it, but it's a nice scent. Some items I've used from other brands smelled of astringent (not this one). This smells like a pleasant perfume. But if you don't like scented skincare you need to be aware (I myself love scented skincare products). I know I'm going back to this, but the items themselves are so pretty, feels like a higher end skincare line although I'm not familiar with this brand. As for effectiveness, the toner does help reduce my redness and is a thicker toner consistency which is fine by me. Better than it running down my arms before I can get it all applied (like most water like consistency toners). Overall, very pleased and happy with the way it makes me feel as though I'm spoiling myself when using it! Read more
