I’ve been using the iSpring Bottleless Water Dispenser for a while now, and honestly, it has been one of the most convenient upgrades I’ve made in my home. Not having to lift, carry, and replace those heavy plastic water bottles anymore is a huge relief. I ordered this water filtration system for my corporate work office; we have 10 employees and are all avid water-drinkers. The instructions were fairly simple and there is a scannable QR code that opens up a youtube tutorial for hooking up the system to the water supply. I had everything unpacked and hooked up in about an hour and a half (excluding the time it took for me to uninstall the old system we replaced). The system is very quiet and easy to use and everyone in the office loves the quality of the water and its taste! The first week and a half of using the water dispenser, the alarm beeping sound notified us of a leak in the system-- usually I pressed together some of the connecting tubing and it would stop, but it became a recurring daily issue so I called customer service and spoke to Nick to troubleshoot the problem. Nick said that to remedy the issue, iSpring would send us an entirely new water filtration dispenser to replace the one that had leaks and suggested we keep the old unit for parts. I did a fair amount of research before purchasing my iSpring DS4S. The reviews of this company's products and service were better than their competitors. I cannot speak about the reliability of this product at this time since I have only had it in service for 2 weeks, but I can say that I am absolutely pleased with the results so far. After receiving my DS4S I carefully followed the installation instructions. Letting it sit for a full day in an upright position before installing (instead of the standard 12 hours) and flushing the filters for 10 minutes instead of the 5 minutes recommended. I worked with Julius at iSpring to activate the free extended warranty that came with the product. Their website for warranty registration was cumbersome. The municipal water supply in my area is good enough to drink, but has an unpleasant taste and frequently smells of chlorine and sometimes worse things. Once I started using my iSpring, the taste of the water is the same or better than the bottled water I was buying. I drink nearly 1 gallon/day of water and this unit should pay for itself in a little over one year. It is a tremendous relief to no longer have to haul cases of bottled water into the house and spend so much money on bottled water! Like most of you, I have a refrigerator with an ice maker/filtered water dispenser, but unlike the refrigerator, the iSpring has exceedingly superior filtration and a storage tank for the water so that it doesn't take 5 minutes to fill a tall glass of water (only seconds). I am a very happy customer, so far. I hope to update this review in 2 years time to speak on the reliability of this unit as well. Many of you will also be considering the purchase of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration system in lieu of a system like this, but bear in mind that it takes approximately 5 gallons of supply water to create 1 gallon of RO water. I find that to be wasteful and unnecessary for the water supply I currently have. I purchased the two years worth of filter replacements with my initial purchase and found the price to be very reasonable. It's been over a year since I purchase this unit. So I have had this going for a bout a week now, and here are some thoughts so far. 1. So far, the water is tasting good. The instructions suggest running it for half an hour, but I stopped it shortly after the water ran clear. (like 5 minutes) Also, I cycled through the hot, room temperature, and the cold water after to check the water clarity from each. (this is to say that it may not take 30 minutes to have clear water, so check it during set up). 2. It is much less noisy than the Brio 4 stage filter dispenser that I had previously (check my review on that) 3. it is easy to operate, and there is plenty of space for bottles Now for the thing that kept this from receiving my 5th star. 1. There is no way to dim any lights While this might not be an issue for some people, I find the brightness of everything annoying at night. My house is on one level, and these lights force me to close my bedroom door decreasing air circulation at night. I will add pictures or a short video later to demonstrate. Over all, it is decent, but it would be excellent if it wasn't for the light issue. Durability will be added later once I have had it for a while. Read more
