I chose this box for the look, the inside material and the two elastic secure pieces that are inside of it. It's very classy. The size is perfect for this particular pearl necklace I have and I just love it. The snap on the outside of it is easy to close and open also. I bought two and am completely satisfied. Since I just received them, I can't contest to how long they will last but by the feel of them, I think if I take care of them and handle them well, they will last a lifetime.
