Izzo Golf Swami Launch Master Pro Golf Launch Monitor

I was able to take my new Izzo Swami monitor out to the range before the weather turned cold (next step is indoors and comparing with simulator monitor...but sounds like that has to be done separately, with only 1 monitor on at a time to reduce conflicts). I've struggled with not hitting up on my driver enough so the attack angle numbers are going to be a help to me with practice. I know i've lost some swing speed too over the years so being able to see where that's at and if the drills or exercise work I'm doing helps to improve the clubhead speed and ball speed will be great. It's super easy to use after a quick read of the manual. Lots of data points collected and available for review. Club change selector was easy to use. Audible was loud enough to be heard outdoors even with a well travelled street nearby. Rarely did a distance ever seem off from the pattern and what i could see happening. Izzo's a trusted name in golf so that gives me confidence in this monitor and it's at a price point that makes it affordable for a golfer dedicated to improving who doesn't want to jump up into the $1k-4k monitor market. Gotta say, I was really impressed right from the start with the IZZO Swami Launch Master Pro. The packaging and presentation are top-notch — definitely an A+. It looks sharp, feels solid, and was super easy to set up and start using. I took it out to the local range and compared it against the Toptracer simulator to see how close the numbers were. Overall, the Swami was pretty consistent but read about 5–10 yards longer than what I was getting on Toptracer. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind if you’re trying to dial in exact yardages. (I believe the swami numbers align more closely to my true yardages) For the price, though, I think it’s a great little device. It’s simple, accurate enough for practice, and gives you good feedback on your shots. Definitely worth checking out if you want a portable launch monitor without spending a fortune. Read more

What fun, like your own personal swing trainer. I bought this so I can get realtime feedback as I work my way back through different golf swings. Some future product suggestions would be some way of recording data to see how you progress from one day till the next and if there was a way of putting in a longer name for the club. Overall good value and fun to play especially went you play with multiple balls on a hole to see realtime feedback on what feels good or bad with a swing and what you actually just did on the course. The packaging if the product was very good, and I like that it included a carry case for the monitor. Once it was charged, I took it out for testing. It integrated sensors for hands free club choice worked well for me, and the voice was easy to hear outside. The screen was easy to read on a sunny day and the results seemed to be consistent swing to swing. Seems to work equally well outside and indoors. Next step will be to compare results and distances to a more robust monitor, but so far I'm happy with the product. If this had some sort of app integration, it would be an excellent value for money. If the readouts were accurate, I’d give it 5 stars. The tablet is a nice size with plenty of information and the voice is loud and clear. The problem is the distance readouts are 10-15 yards off with my irons even though I’ve calibrated it to my M1’s (driving range markers and laser range finder). I’ve contacted Izzo support and they responded the same day. I’m in their system to find a solution. They are saying I can make adjustments in the settings but maybe I have a unit that didn’t get that. Read more

I'm not a good ball striker... that's part of what I was hoping to get with this launch monitor, something to quantify my swing so I could try to improve it. At the range, I'm the guy that hits 3 or 4 good ones, always to the right, then hits fat or thin or pushes it twice as far right. Just all over the place. So I got this, a mat and a net to try and put in more swings at home. It's OK, but I have a hard time telling whether it's me or the monitor being inconsistent. When it comes to long irons or driving, I'm putting money on myself as being the X factor in the wildly different results between shots. But, I'm fairly good on gentle short iron shots. So, that's where I lose confidence in the launch monitor. Showing a 40 yard difference occasionally between two shots I feel were within 10-15 yard of each other. It's hard to tell, hitting into a net, what the real shot would have done. But they felt really close, yet the monitor said they were very different. Just to be clear, we're talking maybe 2 or 3 swings out of 20 (so 10-15% of the time) it shows questionable numbers, so it's still useful most of the time. And I'm going to keep using it. I just have trust issues. And I'm not sure if the reliability goes up or down with longer clubs and higher head speeds, since I know my own reliability goes down with them. My gut tells me that larger numbers with the same margin of error in measurement means larger variance in the calculations. For the price, I'd have liked to see this come with an app (with a watch extension) for setting the clubs, showing results, tracking history. Read more
