Going through that change at the moment and was looking for breathable clothes. I knew tencel, viscose, and modal were at the top of my list. Forgot about bamboo. I struggled with how to rate these because there was a big defect in the shorts. 3 of the 4 leg hems split on the side. I'm no seamstress but I managed to Frankenstein them back together rather than return / exchange. Why? Because they're so doggone comfortable and for hot flashes it's the way to go. I wasn't going to sleep x number of nights without these! If the crotch or rear seam had been faulty that would be a different story altogether (though it Would allow additional airflow!). They're Very thin so any, erm, weather reports your body may do will be noticed from a mile away. It's just my husband and myself here and he has zero complaints about this flaw. The other seams are holding nicely, it's only the satin parts and it was only on the aqua set. I purchased the lilac / lavender color as well and they're holding up fine. I don't feel restricted at all. This pj set is like a second (sheer) skin. To note: even with them being thin they're not transparent so you won't look like you're being body scanned at the airport. It's the drape that accentuates curves and bumps, if you know what I mean. I put these on my wishlist and as other pjs wear out these will replace them. I'm sad about my footie pjs for this winter - no way in Hades will I be wearing those with these hot flashes and night sweats! This PJ set is soft and comfortable. Perfect for sleeping or lounging around on your day off from work. The V neck makes it even better, because you're not having to pull it away from the neck while sleeping. Washable, I simply place it in a lingerie bag and wash in cold water, on gentle. The material of this sleep set is very comfortable on my skin, super smooth and soft. It's great for hot weather as it's extremely breathable but I wouldn't say it's overly thin. I wouldn't wear it out of the house or anything but it's not meant for that and it's substantial enough for lounging around. The color is nice although it looks a bit different than the product pictures. To me, it looked like a pinkish lilac color but in person it doesn't have any hints of purple like I expected. It's really just a light pink. This was a little disappointing but it's always tough to judge colors exactly online. I still think it looks nice and the white trim is a nice touch. The trim is only on the front of the collar and doesn't go around the back of the neck but that doesn't bother me. That might have even been slightly uncomfortable. For loungewear, I usually like to size up to ensure a loose fit but since this was a top and bottom set I went with my normal medium. I'm 5'5"/120lbs and always buy medium tops but I get large for pants or shorts sometimes if I can ensure the waist won't be too big. I do like the fit of this shirt. It's roomy in the bust and arms but not overly so and it drapes nicely. I'm not a huge fan of the way the shorts fit however. They aren't too tight if I wear them as high-waisted shorts but they don't seem long enough for that because that leaves very little room in the crotch area. If I wear them lower on my hips, they're a little tighter than I like for pajama bottoms. It's not severe but they do pinch slightly. The elastic is thin but very sturdy. In either case, they are extremely unflattering. They are very short but the legs have ample room. Ideally I would have gotten a medium top but a large in the bottoms but obviously that's not possible and I'm not 100% sure a larger size for the latter would have solved the issue of them fitting rather oddly. I find it rather confusing how small the shorts are compared to how spacious the top is in a set of the same size. The last thing I'd mention is that this fabric is definitely on the delicate side and though it arrived in nice condition, it seems like it will be easy to snag and pull. It isn't meant to be machine dried and based on the feel I agree fully with that. Overall I am reasonably satisfied with this set although if I could've purchased the shirt alone I would have since I don't care much for the shorts. Read more
