Normal leather belts don't seem to work either. While suspenders do work, I'm not too excited about that "look", unless I can hide them under/between a shirt and sweater. I had never tried one of these stretch belts before and I am actually loving this one. First, it is 2 belts in one, color wise. I like both the black and coffee colors and one or both go with just about anything I have. Second, the buckle. Very simple, but its nickel finish makes it very nice looking. It is also reversible and easy to use. I especially like the leather belt loop that slides freely, allowing you to strap/tuck the excess belt material easily and firmly. Finally, and what sets this apart from traditional belts, is its stretchiness. You are not limited to holes, but can slide the belt prong into the belt at any point on it. The stretchiness allows you to tightly secure the belt, holding up your pants, but stretching when you move and bend. The best way that I can describe the feeling of this belt is that it "breaths with you". Expanding and contracting as your body changes and moves. No more pulling up my leather belted pants because the belt isn't holding them up. This belt works and is very secure at keeping your pants up and looking good in the process. Only catch with these braided belts, they are viewed as more casual style, so you might get some weird looks if you wear these with dress pants. I wanted a simple braided stretch belt that would work with different color shorts. This is the perfect solution. A simple twist of the buckle and it reverses. The colors are just what I was looking for, too. There is just enough stretch to make the belt fit comfortably, and since it is braided I just push the buckle pin through the braiding right where I need it.
