Sturdy and nice looking stainless steel rack. Easy to set up or fold and put away. I can drape sheets and knit sweaters to dry. I bought 2 to put up side by side. I hand wash clothes, let it drip for a while, put them on hangers. I can hang approx. 2 loads of laundry since each rack has 2 bars and a middle lower row (this is where I drape knits or hangers that have lingerie so it can be hidden from view if you live in an apartment & have it setup on the outside back lanai). This one should last a long time because it’s stainless steel. The cross design bars keeps it sturdy and it won’t fall over if there’s some wind. This is a PERFECT solution for the no- clothesline house and sun-dried sheet addicts. The fitted sheets go perfectly over the top bars and in wind sheets can be clipped together to stay put. I have used this for the past 4-5 months and I'm giving it 5 stars because this drying rack is an excellent compromise. I keep it indoors and carry it outside to dry clothes. The rack feels somewhat flimsy but I can carry it up and down the cellar stairs in one hand, which is helpful, and I think that it will last for a long time. It's a bit awkward to set up and take down, but I'm used to it now and it is no big deal. The metal hinges need to be pushed with the flat of your hand to be "locked" and then pushed to be "unlocked." The metal is thin against your hand, but I learned to fully push out the legs of the rack, and to open the rails as wide as possible, before locking the hinges, and that made it much easier. Once set up, the rack is steady. It can accommodate sheets and blankets and/or a lot of clothes. I haven't yet used the things to stop hangers from sliding up and down the rail in the wind, but they are provided and I think they would be useful. As stated, there is no assembly, the legs spread open like a folding table & snap in place. The middle bar has tabs that fit firmly in place. The metal is not the thickness I anticipated but will support a medium weight load. I haven't expanded it yet & am a little hesitant to do that. Very handy for doing a light load that doesn't justify using the dryer. I have used the folding drying racks before & this is much sturdier. Read more
So very functional and well made. It’s super light, so moving it around, whether folded or opened, is not a problem. I found that most of the time, I don’t need 2 rails nor do I need the rods extended. However, both features are so appreciated when doing bedding. It’s been a joy to hang my clothes and being able to fold it neatly to rest in a corner. Read more
Lightweight, easy for me to set up alone, and move if needed. I will be using it this afternoon and pretty sure it will work well. Had trouble with the locking hinges at first but was because I had not folded the legs out completely. I believe it is sturdy enough for king size blanket, but I wouldn't let kids use it as a jungle gym. Already recommended to 2 friends who like to hang out laundry. Read more
I live in Michigan and wanted to have a clothesline outside. With my space, it was not an option. I started looking for indoor/outdoor drying racks and this was in my budget. I had it a few months before putting together. Finally I had a few extra minutes and that is all it took to set this up! I had it fully put together in just minutes, it was so easy! I thought I would need help but the assembly is done before you know it. When I first put it together, I was disappointed with the size. I thought I bought a longer drying rack. Then I realized I didn’t pull it out of the way. It went from being too small to the deal of the century! I was shocked with how quality it was and how long it was. I did read the measurements but it’s hard to picture it until it’s right in front of you. It is absolutely perfect for what I needed it for. I had originally planned to put it outside, but I put it in my sun room and open the windows instead. I love it. It holds so many clothes and still remains stable. You could even lay a large blanket or sheet over the top to dry. Look no further, if you need a drying rack, this is the one to buy. It can fold up to be smaller or pull it out to be the full length. We live near the ocean so stainless steel was a requirement - and heavy enough that it doesnt blow over with beach towels on it. This fits the need for both those. It’s 51 inches tall [130 centimeters] and we love that about it - large beach towels fit without hitting the ground. We didn’t give it 4 or 5 stars for 2 BIG reasons - it really needs to have lower bars for smaller stuff like swim suits. its 56 inches long at its shortest, which is where we keep it because when its fully extended it feels flimsy and sure seems like it would bend at the center if someone threw a soaked beach on it near the center. No we didnt test that lol. The less it’s extended definitely feels much stronger. For many [most?] who use it for “regular” laundry - versus huge soaked beach towels - it would probably be fine fully extended. But i don’t rate things on how others might use them, only how we use them.
