I never really buy suspenders for actual usage of keeping my pants up. That's what belts are for. Suspenders, for me, are always, always Halloween costume set pieces. This year, I needed something that imitate the look for overalls, without my actually having to buy a brand new article of clothing. So I have these blue shorts, and I needed suspenders to complete the look. A faux overall, if you will. Hence, the purchase. I wasn't sure which color blue would match my pants better--(bright) blue or navy--so I got both. I am glad I did! From the Amazon pics, I thought (bright) blue would be the clear winner. When they arrived, neither matched exactly, thought navy was actually closer. So I kept the navy option, and returning the (bright) blue. You really can't trust product illustrations sometimes. The suspenders themselves were only ok. Very small. Fits better on a child than an adult man. I had to extend the length to its maximum for it to fit my body, which is considered a smaller frame for most American population. So I don't think a lot of bigger adult bodies can even use this. It says it's got 3 strong clips. Well, strong enough. Not extraordinarily strong. And it's comfortable enough to wear. This isn't premium fashion. Just your Chinatown, no brand, cheap pick-it-up-for-a-few-dollars. For $8, it's all right. Cheapest I could find on Amazon. It's like a Spirit Halloween buy. Not gonna be too particularly picky about this. I'll wear this, once, maybeee twice a year. It's good enough. Don't overpay for your costumes if you're just a a casual dress-upper. Read more
