Finally a plus sized real denim modest skirt. I purchased the sandstone skirt and it fits well. The skirt looks good and came on time, clean, correct in size and color. It has been trough the washer about 13 times now and it still looks great and did not shrink or damage in the dryer. This skirt is flattering overall. I do recommend buying the correct size. Do not size up. I am a 18/20 I bought a 20 and it’s right. I can step into the skirt without having to unzip it. In fact I am buying an 18 as well for a more fitted look. I wear the button right over my navel and the skirt comes down to my knee. All the pockets are functional and well made. An iPhone 6 Plus fits in every pocket. The skirt has a good amount of stretch (a little over an inch). The catalog that comes with the skirt is for older women in my opinion. It advertises all kinds of plus sized clothes the company sells and some of it is ok but... not for me (at least not for another 10 years) lol. I have been looking for a black jean skirt for a while and am very pleased with this skirt. The fabric feels like actually jeans, but it does have some stretch. It felt heavier than I expected, (but not hot), there is enough stretch to make it move with you, but again the skirt looks good. I sew and I would guess the fabric is 80/90% cotton and the rest spandex. ***One thing - upon first wash(es) = wash it by itself and get all the extra (black) fabric color out. First wash cycle, light soap rinse; Second wash cycle, wash in cold water and add salt to the water it will help set the color. The size was right on the mark, didn't need to order up or down. I am an 18 but have a hard time finding a good fit, as I don't really go in at the waist and I don't have big hips or bum. (No hourglass figure for me and I'm tall) so finding a "plus" size that works is not always easy. This skirt fit just like I hoped, and looked very nice could dress it up or down without a problem. I received a catalog with my skirt from the Jessica London company. I found a jean jacket I really liked in the catalog and found it on Amazon and ordered it. It arrived, and I am very pleased to say that it has the same great fabric and a good fit, nice find! I have long arms and broad shoulders so for me jackets don't always work out. This one did, and the sleeves are (almost) a touch long! wow great treat for me! Now after this description of my self, I'm not sure what to say! LOL So often you order something it arrives you like it, then when you order another item, in the same fabric & brand, once delivered the fabric and quality are totally different from your first order. For me always in negative - bad quality, bad fit area. I am happy to say, so far that has not been the case with this company at least in regards to their jean line. Based on previous reviews I ordered two sizes - my usual 24 and a 26 just in case. The 24 fit fine, although the 26 didn't actually look and feel that different so I kept it. The model must be wearing the skirt low on the waist, because it is much shorter on me. Even though I have short legs it is above the knee. I also thought it would be slightly more A-line but it's pretty straight....not quite a pencil skirt, which I simply will not wear! Overall for the price it's a great basic. Read more

This is not as pictured at all. I gave it 1 star because it is misleading. The fit is fine, but the length is totally inaccurate. I am 5.6 (just barely, and it barely covers my tush. It's a mini skirt, not even close to my knees. Several years ago I bought this Jessica London jean skirt, knee length in 2 colors, and wanted this color and was disappointed when this mini length arrived. I kept it and will just wear it next winter over leggings to the gym. The quality is good, just not the legnth as pictured. Read more
The skirts are too big even though I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear. They do not shrink when washed, so if you decide to buy, order 2 sizes down. They are "A" shaped skirt, not a pencil shape, so they weren't as flattering as I thought. Read more
Presently teetering between an XL and 1X (usually considered a 14 in women's) I was hopeful that the 12w I ordered would fit. Sadly it was too big for me. I think this size should be considered a true 1X when ordering. That being said - it was a really, really nice skirt and I was disappointed to have to return it.
