Comfy, comfy, comfy!
Ok, we all know that Jessica Simpson shoes are generally pretty, but it's a crapshoot whether they are going to be super comfortable or pure torture. I admit, I'm a big fan of her shoes and I own some of both -torturous and awesome. I'm so happy to tell y'all these boots definitely fall into the Oh my goodness I LOVE them category. Yesterday was the first time I wore them and these boots put in a 15 hour day on the first wear!!! The pictures of them in this plaid don't really do them justice, these are even prettier in person especially paired with a dark blue skinny jean. I had several and I mean SEVERAL random women stop in their tracks to compliment them and tell me that they were going to order some as soon as they got home. I love them so much I ordered them in another color lol. I would have ordered all three, but since I already have a similar wedge bootie in black my hubby wasn't gonna go for it. Now for the fit: I normally wear an 8.5 in heels but I size up to a 9 for boots to accommodate for socks and because I have high arches. The 9 fit like a dream. Perfect width and length without feeling cramped in the toe box, and because of the material the wedge is made of they have a bit of a cushioned bounce. It's not squishy like memory foam, it's more like a really quality rubber sole. I didn't need to do any stretching or break in, I just put them on at 6 am and wore them until I took them off at 9 pm. I will say one thing - the brown ones I ordered after I got these had one boot fitting perfectly and the other one feeling like it was 2 sizes smaller. ( I'm assuming that one was just a defective pair so I returned the brown ones and I immediately reordered them hoping a different pair in the same size fits correctly) We'll see. I'll be sure to post a review of those when the replacement comes in. Lastly, on JS's site these are $150 each color. When I ordered both of the plaid and the brown they were $111 each pair several days apart. Not 2 days later the replacement pair of brown ones went up to $119. Kinda rude Amazon, shame on you!
