This little stove is a workhorse! I camp out at a little cabin my dad put together from reclaimed materials. It was always a pain to get hot water on demand for cleaning, food, and beverages. A friend camped with me and he had the Jetboil Flash and I was thoroughly impressed. When I went looking, I settled on the MiniMo due to it's ability to have better simmer control. I can fit 4 hotdogs in it easy enough. It'll boil 16oz of water in 2 minutes or so. Heating water for oatmeal is a breeze and it's good to go for warming up canned soups. I even used it in the truck to fix some ramen noodles for my son and me after a deer hunt. I'm really happy with this stove. One small word of caution, your pan or skillet need to be able to take the heat. I used the included pot support and the heat was just too concentrated on a stainless military mess kit skillet. So I couldn't use it. It might be a bit of a luxury item and it does have a bit of a price tag on it, however, I'm happy and it brings a smile to my face when I use it. Read more

Quick little review since they asked Love this little thing, it shaved 1.8 lbs off my hiking kit by switching up the cooking and mess kit. 100g fuel tucks inside neatly; pot adapter does not, however, so you'll have to stash that elsewhere or leave it. Boiled 2 cups of water in under five minutes with wind, does exactly what it says it does and what I need it to do. No complaints here Read more

The weak point of this stove is within the burner flame ignition system, which has a tiny wire where the spark leaps to lights the gas on fire. This tiny wire t can malfunction if bent out of its position and place. It's located in the base of the burner. And it's really easy to accidentally bend it . If and when it gets bent out of place, no spark will connect with the gas to produce the flame. I've read lots of reviews about the lighter failing after about 3 uses both on amazon and REI. I've used this little stove on several kayak camping trips where packing is stuffing your camp equipment and gear into holes inside dry bags with lots of opportunities to dent such a wire if not well packed into its cook cup. I can see this being an issue with packing up a backpack or even car kitchen mess kit. So it's very important to make sure to pack the stove inside the cup to protect the ignition wire and when cooking to be careful not to bang it with a pot, then it will survive to work. Bring along a wee bitty lighter for back up just in case. Or waterproof matches, tho you will have a nice little ongoing flaming torch until the waterproof match burns out. since these little torches are not designed to extinguish! I also purchased the jetboil cooking pot for soups to share with my partner and another easy thing to mess up is the plastic protection lid for the base of the cooking pot. The protection lid also serves as your food plate until you forget to take it off first before placing the cooking pot on the burner! Now, mine looks like a purposeful donut-shaped protection cover and still does a very fine job of protection for the base. This little stove boils water super fast, and the low temp control works as advertised. Will see how long it takes me to mess up that ignition wire! Read more

Works well. Perfect for backcountry hunting. Far more efficient than my MSR pocket rocket and Coleman pot. It’s a touch heavy but worth the weight. A little pricey. Read more
