The look, feel, heft and function are almost indistinguishable. I do not feel like I am wearing a cheaper product with the Jiniu, rather the buckle is quite handsome. I thought that I would replace the buckle initially with the Mission Belt buckle, but decided I liked the Jiniu buckle too much. Comparing to my Mission Belt, the buckle and belt are very similar. The ratcheting is compatible between the two, I can put a Mission Belt Buckle on the Jiniu Belt or a Jiniu Buckle on the Mission Belt. So far the leather has held up similar to the Mission Belt leather. However, the wear is difficult to tell, as the Mission Belt held up very well for a long time then rapidly disintegrated, as can be seen in the pictures. I have not had the Jiniu for the same period of time. For almost the same price, the Jiniu is a much nicer belt. The Jiniu belt arrived in a very nice box, I believe there was additional material inside the box which I no longer have but I do still have the box, and provided pictures of it below. The box gave the impression that I had received a product of quality, and I have not been disappointed with what was inside. I had surgery on my wrist and arm. As I was going to be without use of my hand for a few months, I had to make adjustments to everyday things. One of those things was putting on a belt. I found ratcheting belts by accident and purchased one. I have to say, these belts are great. First, I was able to get it on with one hand. Solved that problem. Second benefit, as I was losing weight, this belt allowed me to adjust the size as I slimmed down by simply cutting down the size as needed. Third, and most important, is that, during the day, as you eat, you may need to adjust the belt because your belly is full. This belt allows you to make slight adjustments vs. a standard belt where you have to go up/down a hole in the belt which makes it too loose/tight leaving you either uncomfortable or constantly pulling up your pants as you move. Neither one is fun. The company also offers a LOT of styles in their buckles. I picked up a few, but this one is my favorite.
