While I haven’t tested whether the panel can bring the battery back from zero, it’s definitely helpful for maintaining a charge. While the cable length is minimal, their onboard storage makes them incredibly convenient and sets this product apart from the competition. This is a really nice combo of an air compressor and jump starter. Our older minivan is constantly needing to be jumpstarted due to a power leak somewhere, and this tool not only takes care of that for us but also can be used for helping us in the event of a flat tire. It was a genius idea to combine those two elements. I'm not sure how handy the solar panel is; in my experience those seem to take too long to charge the units. But you can charge it quickly by just plugging it into the wall so it's still a winner. I guess if you leave it on your dash it can stay topped up and ready to use, and you don't have to worry about it running out of juice whenever it's inactive. So for all those reasons, including easy to use, and providing good power, I'm happy with this tool and to have it in my arsenal. Read more

I gave this 4 stars because it's a solid combo unit that does the job, but it’s got a few limitations worth noting. I bought this as a just-in-case device for the truck, and it proved its worth when I used it to jump-start a 6.0 liter diesel UniMog. That’s not a small engine, and the jump starter didn’t even flinch—worked great. The air compressor part is more of a convenience feature. It’s okay in a pinch, but not something I’d want to rely on for routine tire maintenance. It’s slow and draws down the battery pretty quick. I topped off a low tire from about 28 PSI up to 36, and it took several minutes and knocked the battery down by about 20%. I wouldn’t try to fill a completely flat tire unless I had no other option. Charging is mostly done through the USB-C port, which supports PD 45W fast charge. From a good wall charger, it took me just under two hours to get from empty to full. The built-in solar panel is more symbolic than practical. If you were stuck somewhere remote with a lot of sunlight, you could eventually build up enough of a charge to use the jump starter—but that’s a long-term survival kind of scenario. I left it in the sun for two full days and it got up to about half-charge, so don’t count on the solar unless it’s your only option. Read more
