These cargo jeans are surprisingly good quality. The denim is heavier than I expected, but not so thick as to make them uncomfortable. The elastic waist is stretchy and the roomy legs allow these to fit a variety of body types. I ordered size small. I measured the waist band both before and after washing and drying in the drier (see photos). Before it measured 32.5", and after, it measured 31", so there was some shrinking (as expected). However, the waist band is highly elastic. My whole family tried them on, and here is how they fit: My husband (no photos) is 5'9" and weights around 160 lbs. He normally wears size 32/30 in mens' jeans. They fit him almost perfectly, maybe a touch long in the leg. My older son (photos with white shirt) is 5'11" and weighs around 140 lbs. He normally wears size 31/32 mens' jeans. These fit him perfectly, with just the right crown at the bottom of the leg. My younger son (photos with blue shirt) is 5'6" and weighs around 120 lbs. He mornally wears boys' size 18 jeans.These are too big for him, but he doesn't have much growing to do before they will fit. Just for fun, I treid them on (no photos). I am 5'2" and weigh around 120 lbs. I normally wear womens' size 4 petite jeans. They are definitely too long for me, but not too loose at the waist! A size small is definitely appropriate for a waist size of 30 up to maybe a 34 as these stretch. I would NOT order up in size with these. There are two drawbacks to these jeans which caused me to take off a star. First, the side pockets don't have any closure, like velcro or snaps, on the flaps. This means the pocket flaps tend to flare out after they have been washed. Second, there is a smell to the fabric- kind of a mixture of mustysmell and synthetic fabric smell. These jeans came shipped, folded, and rolled up in a clear plastic bag for shipping. After opening the bag and unrolling it, it didn’t have many wrinkles and was ready to wear. The denim material is medium thickness, which is how other pairs of jeans feel to me. It is medium-weight, but feels lightweight around the legs while maintaining its thickness. I found these to be true to size, once taking the cargo pants style into account. It is roomy without being overly baggy, so it looks like cargo pants without looking like it’s something two to three times bigger than its stated size. I did find them to be true-to-size as a result. These have straight legs, so they fit well while still having some room in them to walk around in them all day long and still feel comfortable. They were also nicely flexible when doing so. The denim material feels soft both when it touches my skin on the inside and when I run my hand over it. These jeans have a fabric blend of fifty-five percent cotton, forty-two percent viscose, and three percent elastane. I found them to be breathable and flexible as a result. The waistband is elastic and fits just right. It can adjust well to different sizes because of this, but I found it to be just right. It is nice and thick, with solid stitching all along it. It has a flat, white drawstring to tighten it, with silver caps on the ends of the string. The drawstring was able to be tightened to the desired level and kept these pants in place on my hips all day long without something heavy in the pockets weighing them down and pulling them down. There are six pockets total: two front pockets on each side of the waistband, two cargo pockets on the legs, and two on the rear end. Each pocket is large enough to hold your car keys, wallet, and/or smartphone without any problems. There is a Jmierr brand tag on the back of the waistband. On the left-hand side of the waistband, there is another tag identifying the size, fabric blend, and washing instructions. These cargo jeans come in five different colors and six different sizes, ranging from small to 3XL. I received a couple of compliments from my family while wearing them, stating that they looked nice on me and had a classic style to them. Overall, these jeans are well-made, comfortable to wear all day long while running errands, and have a nice flexibility to them.
