YSK: I am a big fan of casual shorts, especially with pockets (I personally call them "Pocket Shorts"). These are some of the most comfortable and sturdiest Pocket Shorts I have ever owned. I was so impressed by these that I went and bought more in a different color. Seriously, such good shorts. I am 5' 10'' and 190lbs and the medium size fit perfect. These are some seriously good shorts if you are a fan of wearing some comfortable, casual shorts. What's even better is the pattern on the fabric brings a bit of an elevation of the shorts, almost like a polo shirt with a different color inside the color, the pattern makes these seem somehow a bit more than sweat shorts. There are three pockets on these shorts, your standard two on the sides and a rear right pocket. Presumably you could carry your wallet in these and wear them around town if it was warm enough, or maybe just slip your phone in there during workouts. The side pocket lining is made from the same fabric as the rest of the shorts, and that is a big plus since it means you wont be getting a sudden draft from pocket liners made from mesh. One thing I do test standard on every piece of clothing is how it wrinkles/de-wrinkles. It is a pretty simple test, at the time that I receive the clothing, I simply take it out of the packaging and hang it up for 24 hours. At the time I hang up the clothing I make note of the existing wrinkles and how severe they are, and then I compare them against the wrinkles (or lack of) at 24 hours later. This usually gives me a rough idea on if the clothing will need to be promptly removed from the dryer, air dry, or ironed regularly. These shorts will do just fine sitting in the dryer for a day or two after their cycle ends before they begin to wrinkle. In fact, I am pretty sure unless you jammed them into a basket full of other clothes and sat on it for a few weeks, they may not wrinkle at all. These shorts are really nice & feel great to wear. The material is comfortable with just the right amount of stretch, making them easy to move around in without feeling tight or restrictive. The elastic waistband is adjustable, which is a huge plus, & they sit comfortably without digging in. They also look clean & well made, so they don’t feel sloppy or cheap! The pockets are super convenient, especially for beach days or casual outings when you want to carry your phone or keys. They’re lightweight, breathable, & versatile enough to wear around the house, out running errands, or to the beach. Overall, they do exactly what you want them to do & do it well. I really like everything I've bought from this company. The shirts and shorts that I've purchased from them have always been consistent in sizing, which is a plus for me because I have lost about 100 lb over the past 2 years and don't really know my size. I can buy a 2X in JMIERR and I can guarantee it will be something that fits me every time. There are other brands that I have to buy 5x or even 7x before it it's me. That's annoying. These shorts are no different. They're perfect size for me at 285 and 6 ft tall. The material is nice and thick and has a good stretch quality to it as well. They are made of durable material that feels like good quality. After being relegated to wearing Carhartt for the past 7 years, it's nice to have a pair of shorts that just feel good to wear.
