It's very hard to find bikini panties today that don't have that stupid sporty elastic band around the hips or legs, so I was grateful to find that all elastic on these are thinner than that and covered with cotton - and glad that there does exist a cotton version of the most flattering bikini panties I've ever found, the Vanity Fair Illumination string bikinis, which I've been wearing for many years now. They're my favorite for fit and comfort, but when I'm working at home all day and sitting a lot, I prefer cotton panties. These are 95% cotton and are a very good version of the style of the Vanity Fairs. The colors are nicer than I expected and in fact look nicer than they do my photo, especially the green. The fit is different, so beware because they run a bit large. I'm wearing a 5 in these, which is the smalest size they come in, whereas I wear size 6 in the Vanity Fairs. I'm 5'6" 128 lbs size 4 or small in pants and dresses, and I'm not that petite, so if you are a size 2 or 0 these might be too big for you. In the picture, the pink Jo & Bettes on top are size 5 and below them are the Vanity Fairs in 6 and you can see that Jo & Bette's size 5 is bigger than Vanity Fair's size 6. Not too much bigger but yes, bigger, though when I put them on they fit me just fine, not loose at all. My favorite cotton bikini panties, which they don't make any more, were a Hanes version that are shaped a bit like these but with normal sides, not string. They don't make them anymore, and these didn't feel as soft as those when I first handled them and tried them on - but as I've been wearing them, they're absolutely fine and certainly soft and comfortable enough for everyday use. I'm glad I got these and they might end up becoming my favorites. I would like to see them in more colors, maybe some softer pastel colors. Another advantage over the Vanity Fair version is that there's no nylon crotch protector, which on certain colors in the Vanity Fair has worn out over the years and created a hole in the nylon. I'm also very happy that there's no seam right in the middle of the crotch area - the seam is well above your most sensitive area. These were a nice comfy cotton, breathable. They look similar to the Vanity Fair undies I've been wearing for years. Someone said they run small, so I got larges, even tho the butt of the large vanity fair underwear had always been a bit baggy. These were not baggy. In fact, I had to pull the side straps up higher than the middle just to convince the fabric to cover my butt crack. In that orientation, they look and feel fine, and I want to love them. But they keep sliding down every 10 minutes or so. The too big vanity fair underwear still managed to stay up, so I think the issue is that I've had to stretch the fabric to cover the butt crack, and it's trying to contract back to the size it is. The side dimension is not tight at all, so these might be fine if you're short and wide. If I decide to try the XL, I'll update. Read more
