Aesthetic is nice, fits well, and the shirt is comfortable in most weather. Notably, this is a nice enough, and 'modern' enough, shirt to wear normally, and isn't 'just' a cheesy costume shirt for ren faires. I ended up replacing the sewn lace with a piece of leather cordage for contrast. However, at the end of the day, this is a cheap mass-produced shirt. One of the four plastic cuff buttons appears to have a corner broken off of it in the wash, which I don't mind as I prefer to add my own metal buttons anyway. One of the metal grommets 'leaked' rust from the inside when I left it damp in the wash a bit too long, though the rust washed right out later and the outside surface of the grommets still looks pristine. Additionally (though this may be my fault for swapping the lace) the bottom of the V-neck tends to crinkle when laced up tight rather than staying flat. Overall I would recommend this shirt to not only faire-goers, but anyone (like me) who likes to rock a bit of anachronistic or exotic flair, but I would also recommend (as a general fact of life) knowing how to replace buttons. :P Read more

High quality production, very pretty, too pretty for this man to wear but fine for others. My wife immediately predicted that I would find it to be too pretty as soon as she saw me in it. I realized she was correct once I made my way to the mirror. I wasn't aiming for the pirate look but hoped it would work out anyway.
