These lamps are very well made and are beautiful. Well worth the price in comparison to other lamps that cost as much if not more. I mean I got one set for $45 used, like new. I figured if I didn't like them I'd only be out that much or I could return them. Then I bought a set at regular price because I needed four lamps. I was very surprised that they were as big as they are,love the shape of them and the linen white shades are amazing. A bell like shade itself and for its size would probably go for the same amount as the lamps themselves if not more. The glass part is pretty thick and i like the silver finish along the bottom. I had been looking at fillable lamps, so I can add sand but the price of any that I actually liked were way too expensive. In fact one decent fillable lamp can run you 50 bucks more then the price for this set. So after I received the first set I began taking the lamp apart to see if I could get into the glass and figured out I could. The top bolt unscrews the bottom and you can either just open it enough to get sand or shells in it or I do believe you can unscrew it all the way . Not totally sure. But you can add things. It'll have to be upside down to put anything in it, the top doesnt open wide enough, but then just screw the bottom back on and put it right side up. Might be a little difficult to find something to prop it up while your filling it but I'm sure it can be done. So, in my opinion, these lamps were a great buy whether you fill them or not. I am writing a review because, like many of you, I searched all over for elegant and reasonable lamps for our guest room. I looked at all the regular discount stores (TJM, HG, Tgt) and also many here on Amazon. Some lamp descriptions stated you would have to assemble the shade! I wanted a reasonable lamp, but come on. These shades are sturdy and fully assembled. The lamps were packaged well, arrived undamaged, and on time. They were easy to assemble and I had them up within minutes! They also came with lightbulbs, which made it even easier. These lamps are simple and yet the shape is elegant. They are bright, but not too bright. The height at 25" is shorter than some, but taller than so many listed here on Amazon; I thought the height and width were perfect. And, the price was ridiculously reasonable coming in at less than $60 per lamp. I've paid many times more for lamps. Overall, I loved them and so did our guests. Read more

Beautiful glass but shade was too white and large for the space. I used my own shades. Perfect! Love how everything blue in the room pops. Good quality and sturdy, easy to put together and even comes with led bulbs. Gold base is wonderful, most are silver. Read more
